If the spread is 6", the bindings will fit on RRD Poison 2009, too. Have tested the Poison with Synergies 2010, they are 6" and fit perfectly.
Synergies 2009 were 6,5" and required some adapting.
It's a pity Poisons don't come in bigger sizes than 135x43 (2010) and 134x43 (2009), like it a lot.

Of course, it's expensive enough, so trying is highly recommended.
Boots - just a personal preference, I feel more comfortable in them, the board feels more manageable, etc. And my first introduction to board sports was wakeboard, maybe that's why.

My LF Synergys arrive hopefully tomorrow:) Decided to get them for using with my kiteboard on a cable in no-wind days, but will see if they replace my straps/pads during kiting sessions, too.
