Re: rrd Obsession 2010

1) First of all i found that by setting the rear lines so that it is on the small bar setting works much better for my kite size. I found the kite steered too quick on the outside settings for my tastes. Anyone else agree? I would also like to try a smaller bar? Anyone else also try that? Agree, I a...

Re: Riding with bindings - need some information on this concept

Hi, 1. I have some small issues with my ancles these days, probably from riding straps. Will bindings help on this or worsen it? I have met a kiteboarder who had chosen bindings only because of ankle injury/problems. He told it helps a lot. 2. Why riding bindings - what are the advantages? (still a ...

Re: what board for LF 09 bindings?

If the spread is 6", the bindings will fit on RRD Poison 2009, too. Have tested the Poison with Synergies 2010, they are 6" and fit perfectly.
Synergies 2009 were 6,5" and required some adapting.
It's a pity Poisons don't come in bigger sizes than 135x43 (2010) and 134x43 (2009), like it a lot.

Re: rrd Obsession 2010

Well, like previous posters, I have used mine without problems. And I crash them, and quite often self launch on the beach. Obsession 12 >1 year (my most frequently used kite), Obs 9 almost 1 year, and I have used RRD HT2 and T9 before without any problem. I have used both 2008 and 2009 bars, they h...

Re: RRD Obsession (2009)

Of course, it's expensive enough, so trying is highly recommended.
Boots - just a personal preference, I feel more comfortable in them, the board feels more manageable, etc. And my first introduction to board sports was wakeboard, maybe that's why.

Re: Bindings & boards

Could anybody with Concept 139 pls measure the rocker and let me know?
At the moment I have LF Synergy bindings on my RRD Poison 09 134x43, (rocker is 3cm), works well for kiting, a bit too flat behind a boat.

Re: RRD Obsession (2009)

I can confirm that the Poison is an awesome board in choppy conditions (that's what I get here most of the time). I am 95kg, riding Poison LTD 134x43, the biggest available at the moment. The rocker is ~3cm. I've changed to boots (LF Synergy) recently, and have ridden this board up to ~30 knots, it ...

Re: Bindings, not just a style thing

My LF Synergys arrive hopefully tomorrow:) Decided to get them for using with my kiteboard on a cable in no-wind days, but will see if they replace my straps/pads during kiting sessions, too.
Glad to hear about positive experience with bindings, lets me kind of justify the purchase:)

Re: Nobile T5 137x42 question.

Sorry, slightly OT, as I haven't tried T5 137x42, but I had 555 (2008) 137x42 for one year, and it was a really great board. In one word - EASY. Very comfortable in heavy chop (but I must add that I used it with LF Luxuries), great upwind, great bottom end, but also rode it up to 30kn, cannot think ...
