Re: Sabfoil released Medusa Pro wings 699, 769, 869

I mounted up my 799 with the shimmed 370 yesterday and loved it so much more. I was out in 11-13 mph on a 7m UFO2. I definitely would not have been able to ride on the 769. Has anyone compared the 869 to the 799? SAB says the 869 takes off earlier and also goes faster (dropped the 633 on the right f...

This is what I have: https://sabfoil.com/en/products/shims-0 ... -3-degrees

Everyone else on the Facebook discussion is using the same +/- designation as you.
When you hold the SAB shims in person they use positive numbers.

Re: Sabfoil released Medusa Pro wings 699, 769, 869

Let’s discuss stab incidence angle, specifically + vs -. I thought I understood it but you guys are making me wonder if I’ve misunderstood something. The native incidence angle of the stab mount on the 703k fuse is -2.3 degrees according to SABFoil. To my understanding this means they are measuring...

Re: Sabfoil released Medusa Pro wings 699, 769, 869

Sign me up for the church of negative shims! I went out for a session on a -1 degree and then later on -1.5 degree shim. It's such a better feeling ride with the negative shims! The 370 is now a nice ride! https://i.imgur.com/XdmEZsA.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/AbOq40O.jpeg You can really notice the lo...

Re: Sabfoil released Medusa Pro wings 699, 769, 869

Hi taiguy - your 421 (bigger) stab having less front foot pressure than your 370, indicates an AOA difference. The 421 is 221 cm2, the 370 is 195 cm2, so if AOA alignment compared to profile zero lift was equal, the 370 would have LESS front foot pressure. As far as I can see one can shim the Sabfo...

Re: Sabfoil released Medusa Pro wings 699, 769, 869

I've been riding a 695/421 combo as my main setup for the past few years and have been a fan. I'm 110 kg and use a 5m UFO in 20+ and a 7m UFO in 14-20. One of the aspects I like about the 695/421 setup is the very neutral weight distribution between front and rear leg. I picked up the 769 after life...

Trilobite line knife.

I like that it has two edges and the blades are replaceable. The knife pocket easily slides over harness webbing.

Re: Project Cedrus and Sabfoil 3D printed mast end covers

Taiguy: the Sailworks covers that come with NoLimitz masts are super premium. Does Sailworks also make custom covers? I don't think they make custom covers so much as generic covers. My wife and I both have sailworks covers for our masts. I've been buying sailworks foil covers as well, much nicer t...
