Re: Cabrinha X2 wing

Anyone ride it yet? Yes, I have the 5m. But since I have no experience with any other wing I can't comment on pros/cons with it. The handles make it a pain to put in the bag. The double strut feels pretty solid at 11PSI, never through it was flexy but the handle connection to the strut could be sti...

Re: Wingfoil versus Kitefoil?

I picked up a Cabrinha X2 5m recently. Already had the M200/M280/GL240 GoFoil wings and the Outwitt 100L board. So I figured why not? The first thing I realized about wingdinging is that it's just like windsurfing. It's an eternal struggle for wind! There's never enough wind! And once it gets past t...

Re: Wing profile info for backyard hydrofoil builders

Hi All! So after a good month of designing and making I've finished the wing yesterday and had a chance to test it today and it came out beautiful! I was a complete rookie when it comes to fibreglass (I had never done it before this project) so I messed up few things on the way but overall it ended...

Re: Looking for a true resistant directional board for strapped jumping

Jumping direacitonals is the reason I still have two Spleene Zones, two Spleene Surf Doors and an Axis New Wave surfboard. Love the Zones and only recently picked up the NewWave, also a very nice board but I have a feeling the Zones are stronger. Though I'm currently preferring the NewWave becuase o...

Re: Looking for foil pumping advice

If this is your first time foiling, you're doing pretty good! But tomtom is right, learn how to foil before learning how to pump. Though a few hundred/thousand? more attempts and you'll probably get it. :thumb: It just takes a lot of practice to FEEL where the foil is and how it's reacting. Right no...

Re: Slingshot 2021 Sentry V1 Bar (any beta?)

Meh, still not impressed. I love that the Guardian and Sentinel QR is mostly all stainless steel. Easily replace the plastic bits and it's like new. At least it looks like they kept the same lines, or prehaps just the white color. the Guardian bars!

Re: Re-sealing wetsuit's seams?

Quite typical of that tape on NP. Though I've only seen that kind of tape on the inside. You can try some of the iron on wetsuit seam tape. It works for a short while but eventually does the same thing as your suit. If you chose to g...

Re: high wind replacement for 6m + 8m sst..Reo or something else?

I still wonder how the reo behaves when overpowered, anyone? :) Probably like any other kite? Scary, uncomfortable, out of control? There's only so much power you can dump from a kite before it stops flying properly and yanking you around. BTW if you're thinking of Reo's, look into Eleveight WS. Us...

Re: China copies of big brand kites?

... but do true counterfeit copy kites exist today? Few years back I bought the Takuma V100 foil knockoff from alibaba. It turned out to be an identical copy. I have no idea if the wing layup is identical. I took a chance and was willing to risk a few hundred dollars. A little after that I noticed ...

Re: Jaystore / Dynabar are ouz of business?

I wanted to buy some spare parts from these guys. And their website is not online anymore. Emails are bouncing back. What happened? For a while their website listed the business for sale. I guess no one ended up buying it. I'm sad to see them go. The FTC 2.0 harness and the slider bars are my fav.
