Re: GoPro line mounts

So I plan to use the protective lenses next time, and can probably prevent fogging by putting it higher in the lines. Just wondering if other max users have encountered the same problem. The fogging is because of condensation from the warm camera and cool outside air. GoPros with cases fog up and t...

Re: GoPro line mounts

I've recently bought a Max and I've come across the same drawbacks of the uGo. Although I'm wondering if a 90 degree connector would make it fit horizontally within the uGo for 360 degree style (and invisble mount/lines?) drone type shots. 339D0FD9-3015-42C9-989E-99348A3CC387.jpeg Anyone tried this...

Re: The reason to wing. Can't do this with a kite

My question is what's the problem with having to redirect the kite? Why is it such a hindrance for you? Because I can pump the foil for over 30 seconds now. I'm riding janky waves and once up on one I can easily ride and pump to the next one. It's not that the Peak pulls me off, it's not that I hav...

Re: The reason to wing. Can't do this with a kite

I am 20 sessions in, so far have only had 1.5 sessions with legit surf, and it's everything I have dreamed about. Whip in, then luff the wing, and surf foil it independent of wind power, and then at the end of the wave power back up, get outside and do it again and again. Yes, I could have done the...

Re: Liquid Force Wow

Thanks👍👍 From your responses it is kind of the same like I read in the reviews, or? Only thing I am not sure of is like Norcom is how does I perform in overpowered conditions? Does it deform? Can't say, I haven't been out with it overpowered. I've only used it 2-3 times and haven't even dropped it ...

Re: Liquid Force Wow

I have the 9m WOW v3. I've only had a few sessions on it so far. I would say it's more of a freeride kite than a pure wave kite. The Cabo v3 is my favorite wave kite and I grabbed a full quiver of them. I have an Eleveight WS v1 11m and it's similar/identical to the Cabo but a little heavier than th...

WTB: Old Slingshot BTB trim cleat

If anyone has one of these old Slingshot bar cleat+plastic mounts that they would be interested in letting go cheap, please let me know and how much you're asking. I'm looking to make a custom BTB depower bar and think this part may work.

Thanks!

Re: 3D printed bar inserts?

So this is what I was thinking with a stainless steel beveled tube. These came up as a search for "stainless steel threaded tunnel". These are for body piercings and I'm not sure how tight you could get them. Perhaps using some loctite with them and build a 3d printed shell around them for support?

Re: 3D printed bar inserts?

However my main concern is how badly the part will wear. So was trying to make it replaceable without removing the bar ends? I'm just guessing but with nylon I would think the rope will wear out faster than the insert. That is assuming that the part just wont break at some layer that didn't ahere p...
