Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

I don’t think there are. I’ve been trying to find something bigger to complement my 2014 Airush Cypher 5’10” x 22 3/4” x 3 1/2”. There’s no official volume but I’m guessing it’s around 35-40L. Jimmy Lewis has the Canary KT 6’3″ x 22.75″ x 2.3″(41L.) but he said he wont be ordering more made unless s...

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

Yes, yes I do. If not Aluula, then whatever else that's as light or lighter. I just picked up a new 2022 Roam 10m for a song and I haven't been this giddy since my Peak4 5m revelation. I was a Best Cabo / Eleveight WS and Ozone Reo fan. Nothing felt lighter and faster then those kites (excluding the...

Slingshot SST v6 Opinions?

Has anyone tried the v6 SST? Any comparison to Ozone Reo, Eleveight WS or Best Cabos? They look similar to BWS Æneema and supposedly Ben Wilson is partially behind the design. But I never tried any of the BWS kites. The last two S lingshot S uper T urd's that I bought (10m/12m) are still practically...

Re: Why a Wing Board and a Kite is Awesome for the Lightest Winds

Heh, I posted about doing this in 2019. Wow, time flies. https://kiteforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=196&t=2404196 Still do it on occasion with the 100L Outwit, except now with the GL 240 foil wing. With a Peak4 6m or a Peak5 5m I can get going in STUPID light wind. The higher aspect wings are easier to k...

Re: Forum Issues Logging In - Resolved

Thx for the info. How did you try to contact the webmaster, via private message or email? After the login failure you get the "contact the Board Administrator" at the end of the message. When you click it, the other window shows up that says the contact page has been disabled. (see screenshot) But ...

Forum Issues Logging In - Resolved

Just a heads up. I noticed I wasn't able to login using the "Waterfox" browser (Firefox clone). The password reset link never worked and never sent a reset link to my Gmail. And when I tried to contact the webmaster it said the option was disabled. Chrome worked but in the end it turned out that uBl...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 5 is here

... 8 mph is 7 knots or 3.5 m/s. No way you can ride with a Peak in 6 m2, not even an 8 m2. ... 8) Peter Completely disagreee. I can ride in 8MPH with my 6m Peak4 on my GL240 wing with a 50L or 100L boards. In fact it's much easier to do with the 6m than the 8m or 11m which I haven't used in over a...

And here I thought I was cool answering phone calls and sending text messages on my Apple watch while riding a wave on a foil with a kite.

Re: High Aspect wing hype not for kiting?

Wow norcom, you're kiting with those? The GL210 is my light wind winging option, the GL180 is my go-to wing option that essentially replaces the IWA, and the GL140 is the one I now use for kiting, and while very enjoyable, it still feels kind of big, so using the bigger sizes for kiting didn't even...
