Re: Duck Tack Tutorial (Strapless & Directional Series)

I am confused. If your board is rotating 360° it is pointing in the same direction as before?! The video above describes the duck tack. A regular tack is well described here: https://youtu.be/uM1pyC6P0bw Maybe that is what you are doing? Oops, you're right, my angles are off... late night with the ...

Re: Duck Tack Tutorial (Strapless & Directional Series)

When I do this, I move the board upwind, but instead of completing the rotation with my body in the same direction, I turn my body back in the opposite direction. So kind of a 180 back, and then a 180 forward (the board still rotates around the full 360), instead of a 360 of the body and board like ...

Re: The olympic pictogram representing kitesurfers

I just looked it up and that pictogram is for sailing. There's a separate surfing one that looks like surfing. I didn't see anything kitesurfing specific.

Re: No More Droplets on Go Pros :-)

If you watch Sam Lights channel, his recommendation is to just lick the lens with a good amount of saliva and do a quick rinse. Same thing that works with a diving mask which works well, so I'd say it's a good solution over anything else.

Re: Making the home text visual nice - your help and opinion needed

I spent 2 minutes on this, so take it for what it is. Screen Shot 2019-01-16 at 8.52.38 PM.png Basically, more spacing and some colour to differentiate the different topics and I made the font *slightly* smaller. Table as a layout isn't great either. Flexbox is pretty much supported in every browser...

Re: Durability of current Lift foils

I have a 2017 board, mast and wing and no issues. I've hit corral and bottom a few times so I've scratched my wing up pretty good, but everything is still working fine.

Re: Near fatality at Hermanus today December 12 2018

That’s what KOTA promotes - megaloop as high and as far as you can. Promote caffeinated sugar water, risk your life and inspire others to engage in the same behavior. Very cool way to die? Just remember - if you saved someone from drowning - keep them laying down until ambulance arrives. Heart atta...

I'm thinking of doing a 2 week trip to Maui either early April or May for waves and foiling. Which is a better month or are both reasonably good?
I'd go with April as well... you can kite on some monsters at that time of year.
