Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

Yes, at 65 kg, the M would give you plenty of lift.
Since you are a beginner, I would recommend adding the 65cm Mast to your order.
The shorter mast will be easier to learn on than the 90cm mast.
And, you will have the longer mast when you have the basics figured out.
Hope this helps.

Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

So I am thinking of buying either the M classic or the pro M...Being a beginner, which one would u recommend? What are the performance differences? thanks, Xoen It depends on how much you weigh. The wings are very similar, just slightly different in size. I wanted the Pro Large, because I am 110 kg...

Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

The Pro Gong wings were developed for their Surf / SUP Foil lineup. So, from that perspective, it makes sense, since they are more technical to ride when you are surfing with them. For kiting, they are very user friendly, so the Pro designation could put someone off, if they don't know where the nam...

Re: Gong specialist help

I tried to do the same thing, with a Gong Kitefoil Allvator Freewave and a Large Pro Clear Wing, here is the information from the e-mail exchange with Gong. Me: I want to buy a Gong Kitefoil Allvator Freewave Foil Package. But I would like to swap out the front wing with a Pro Clear L (77cm) Front W...

Re: Which Gong foil for begginer

I would suggest to you the Gong Kitefoil Allvator Freewave. This one has the 90cm mast (strut), and the Pro M Front Wing. I just got the Pro L Front wing and I find that it is plenty fast and still lifts me quite early. I am 110 kgs. So, the Pro M wing should lift your 77kgs quite easily. If you are...

Re: Clouds are fragile

I am in love with my Clouds D2E. But I have one big problem with them. This summer it happens 3 or 4 times. The canopy of the Cloud gets to easy inside out. You can't do anything anymore. Only with calm water you can sometimes get the kite in the air so that you can still come bodydragged to the si...

Re: Splicing kite lines for beginners

I purchased the D-splicer for splicing 3 and 4 mm dyneema. For Kite lines, I have used a piece of coax cable. The wire inside the coax cable is quite thin, and easy to work with. Easy to find around the house, just pull a length out of the white casing. You can fold it over on itself, and it works j...

Re: Kite for 18+ knots

Alright then, Ill just take my judgment elsewhere! I had the same thought that you did, but it sounds like some places are well set up for kite rescues in offshore winds. The unwritten rule at all of our local beaches is: If it is blowing offshore, you just don't go out. But we don't have any sort ...

Re: Recommendation on large tube kite for light Foiling

My kites now are Open C style freestyle/freeride kites (Naish Dash) 9-12-14. The bigger Naish is the Fly which I have heard mixed opinions on. So any non-pimp recommendations for a large tube kite that be purchased in the after-sale markets? Rider weight 83-85 kg. Level: Relatively advanced in free...

Re: Quiver suggestions for a 215lb (~100kg) rider

Seems like I might get blown off the 10m fairly quickly. I was kinda hoping that by the time I was blown off the foil, I could remove the mast and ride board only... It sounds like you're an accomplished rider already, what conditions did you learn in, and what kite did you use? Thanks Hi oz43, A l...
