Re: What kite should I get?

So far I only go foiling when the wind is low which usually means around 8 knots sometimes gusting into around 12 knots. (73 kg weight, 1000cm surf wing). For this I bought an 11m Naish Boxer (one strut, which I am really happy with). Good thing is, it is very nice on the twintip as well, so if the ...

Re: Kiting women - becoming more?

Cut a toe badly yesterday on the foil. Went to the hospital. Young, suntanned lady was the doctor on duty, looking at my flip flops asked me if those were the ones with the bottle opener :D (Reef Fanning sandals). Told her it happened while foiling. She was a kiter as well, also foiling. She stitche...

Re: Kiting women - becoming more?

Yes, here locally as well. Quite often couples in there mid twenties to thirties. The first generation of kiters (which I belong to, getting old(er)... ) is mostly male.

Re: Best TT for Big Air?

Naish Motion. :) I´d say it is pretty well suited for big air. Team rider Ross Dillon Player (on Motion) or Clement Huot (sometimes on the Drive which has the same shape/rocker line) go extremely huge on it (and using the Pivot)

Re: Naish 2021

I would say the Boxer has more low end. Much more? I do not know, I have not measured that. I have the 11m Boxer (2021) and 11m Pivot (2020). I bought the Boxer to foil in sub 10 knots with a large foil (1250 and 1000 cm). I weigh 73 kg. I really like it on a TT as well. Good low end, very nice in t...

Re: 8 or 9? Naish Pivot 2020

To complement your 12 I would also go with the 9. I am 10kg lighter than you and have the 8m as my to go kite in 20 plus knots. Above the 8 I have the 11m Pivot. I guess the Switchblade and the Pivot have similar wind ranges in the same size.

Re: Naish 2021

Has anyone tried the traverse yet? I had my mind all set on the monarch, but then I saw the video on the traverse. I am now 60/40 towards the traverse. Dammit. It's hard to make up my mind. I thought about that as well in the 152 size to replace my 145 Hero, which I used as a light wind board and w...
