Re: 2019 Naish Thrust

It is the only foil and foil board I have used so far. I am very happy with it and it creates a huge grin on my face every time I am out in the water in those light winds. I think there are comparable options from other brands. I have not tried them. I think the current Naish wings, the Jet range, w...

Re: 2019 Naish Thrust

I learned and currently ride with one front footstrap. Not sure if I will go strapless, I ride my surfboard with straps. I probably will go with two or three straps in the future to get into jumping. For me foiling is still for absolutely low wind, I want to be able to be on the water in 7-8 knots. ...

Re: 2019 Naish Thrust

In terms of the front wings do you mean the Thrust Kitesurf Wing or the Surf wing? I do have the later in Size L (1250 sqcm) together with the Hover 127 and learned to foil on it. Very happy with this, very easy to learn on. For my weight (73 kg) I should have gone one size smaller (1050 sqcm). I di...

Re: Windsurfing legend lists expansive Hawaii estate for $18M

Robby recently explained how he got where he is over the last 45 years. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlvrgpbQbSw&feature=emb_logo Really enjoyed that interview. There are some great comments explaining, why we all love this so much, be it kiting, windsurfing, winging. For him these are really fu...

Re: How long is your drive to the Kiting Spot, how long is your Session, how exhausted are you after the session

1) 45 Min to closest spots on the river. I go there if the forecast is strong enough, if I do not want to sit in the car for a longer time, in the summer after work during the week. The better spots are on the coast which is 60 -90 min away. 2) 2 - 3 hrs 3) Pretty exhausted after riding twin tip or ...

Re: Pivot evolution

I read in our German forum that the Supermodel is quite close to the current Bandit in its overall feel, thus different to the Pivot.

Re: Pivot evolution

Did anyone try the additional knots on the bridle? Do they make a difference? I only have ridden my 2021 8m on the factory setting. Last Sunday I was nicely lit so it would have been a good opportunity to try, but we were at spot with a narrow beach and it was too much hassle to land the kite and ad...

Re: Help me choose a new Kite

I ride Naish Pivots and Slash. (But at 73 kg). If you can find a Pivot at a good price I would also recommend to go for that one. However, the Slash is very good with a TT, as it is on the powerful side of the wave kite spectrum. I use the 7m as my high wind kite with the TT (but of course also with...

Re: Why does a kite lose pressure when tumbled in waves?

If you have Pivots with the Octopus System it might also be that the air is pressed into the struts. The valves are one way.
