Re: Need advice buying used naish pivot

2017 has Quadtex, it was introduced in that year. 2017 still has more Dacron reinforcements than the following years.

Re: Need advice buying used naish pivot

I have ridden all years. For me basically the same kite with subtle development. With the 2018 you get better canopy material (Quadtex: quadruple rip stop vs the single rip stop from 2015/16)
Also they removed the heavy dracon in some areas, e.g. trailing edge, as the Quadtex seems to make up for it.

Re: naish pivot: 11 or 12m size?

I am 73kg and have the 11m. I have had all generations of Pivots since 2015 and always the 11m. I would say in 14-22 knots the kite is really in its sweet spot for our weight. With a bigger board you can also get a couple of knots lower. The Pivot is a powerful kite. I used to have a more C-shaped k...

Re: Naish Boxer 10m 19/20

I think Naish Sails (Windsurf sails) was founded 25 years ago (the Naish brand itself is older than that) and Naish Sails was the starting point for the kites. I believe the only difference of 20/21 to 19/20 is the inflation system (now SUP valve and standard one pump instead of Octopus system) and ...

Re: Does the Naish triad suck that bad in small sizes?

I have not ridden the Triad. But for a high wind kite from Naish at an attractive price I recommend the 2019 Slash. It is marketed as a wave kite which it is, but it is also remarkably good with a twin tip. It is on the powerful side of wave kites. I have seen quite a number of good deals on it. I w...

Re: Kevin Langeree leaving Naish...

It must have taken him 3 years plus to come to that conclusion... He introduced Quadtex to the 2017 Naish line up and had development and testing before that for some time. I think he mentioned 2 years R&D in an interview.

Interesting no quad Teijin ripstop either.
I thought the same, especially after Damien was extremely raving about it when they introduced it in the Naish Kites. Well, we all know that there always is a sales man/marketing element in this, same now when he presents his new stuff.

Re: How To Heli Loop / Downloop / Landing Loop for big jumps big air | Get High with Mike

I am however not sure with his statement that you should try that on a 12m first... Maybe with a c-shaped kite, yes. But timing becomes more difficult with slower kites. I would rather recommend a 9 or a 10 in decent but not too strong winds. I do that with my 11m Pivot when I am normally powered v...
