Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

Hi, I got the technique alot better this sunday just gone - especially on my 8m. As has been said, the edge likes kite speed aswell. I found that when you're up there, moving the kite around alot helps keep it more forward in the window - i was jumping 6-7m regularly and found that i was sending the...

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

Ha ha :-)

Hopefully I'll be out tomorrow lunch so will have a good go at pulling in the bar before I land to see if it gives me that little lift for a soft landing :-)

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

I`m 77kg ish and have been riding my 8m 90% of the time since i got them (think i have been on the 11m once!) I have to admit, the low end and upwind ability is amazing - there were several people out on sunday on bigger kites and i was heading upwind better by a country mile. I find on the 8, i rid...

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

Hi,

Been out a few times now and thanks for advice. I `ve found that as you said the edge likes to be flown about whilst in the air before redirecting down for the landing.

Thanks again, Mike

Re: Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

That's great - thanks for the tips :-)

It's an 11m and 8m I ride.

I think letting the bar out as I descend sounds like something I might be missing ,

Just need to get myself dialled into the technique with them I reckon!
Cheers, Mike

Landing Jumps on an Ozone Edge

Hi, I`ve just switched to Ozone Edges which i`m really enjoying but i`m having a bit of trouble landing my jumps! I`ve a fairly experienced kiter (about 8 years) and never had trouble landing before! Previously, i rode North Dices and when boosting, i `d send the kite back to 1 o clock and then as i...

Re: Rocker table for vacuum bagging for sale

Can you create a concave bottom shape with it? Yes - i managed to do create a single concave quite successfully by sliding a thin piece of plastic down the centre underneath the perspex. This raises the perspex very slightly in the middle enabling the concave to be produced while the epoxy sets. I`...
