Re: Electric Landboard Kite

Really just looking for a good way to get this into the air with a smaller (and cheaper) kite. Those concepts are mutually incompatible. Small + cheaper doesn't = air and safety. The wing suggestion is not a bad idea but not cheap either and I'd suggest a stiff framed wing https://kitewing.com/prod...

Re: Electric Landboard Kite

I would suggest you first learn to fly a trainer kite and then advance to jumping in light winds. Going out with a large kite and no experience is a sure way to hurt yourself and destroy your electric landboard when you kick it off in an airborne panic. I appreciate your enthusiasm but you should sl...

Re: Kite Manufacturing 1/4

Sewing is a skill I wish I had the time and ability to pursue. Vids provide a real appreciation for the engineering and labor to construct a sail. Makes me appreciate the cost a bit more. My guess is if we saw how bars are constructed, we'd be wondering why they are so expensive. Not a dig at this m...

Re: New to landkite - ist this kite worth it?

Landboarding is super dangerous. Anyway, my advice to OP. Stay away from those low AR kites. They are too slow for board riding. Great for standing on the grass or beach. If you want a foil kite, get a real foil! Ozone, Flysurfer. Once I started flying LEIs my skills improved 10 fold. The slowness ...

Re: Bullet 4.5

Could be dirt but if you have a crease in the middle of the kite that is a sign of a bridle issue - likely stretch or maybe one line shrank over time in storage. What size bullet? Does the line run top to bottom or side to side? I'm assuming side to side if the AoA has decreased and the kite is fall...

Re: beach vibes (video)

Nice to see so many people still landboading in the UK. Kind of died off in my area.

Re: Flysurfer Speed IV [Snowkite edition]

That was my favorite kiting video this winter. Love the looping with the dialed in iron cross and backroll.

Does anyone have any good jumping pics or video with the peak. The only ones I've seen have been unimpressive and while I assume the kite was not made for boosting it is nice to read comments like the above.
