Re: We should be wearing sunglasses throughout the day and especially while kiteboarding! Why aren't we?

Love my new LiP Sunglasses Typhoon watershades. I see your profile mentions waves. Are you using polarized lenses in the waves? Are you just hydrofoilling waves, or riding a directional too? Hi sorry i thought i replied before but it must not of sent? I find polarised lenses fine in waves and that ...

Re: Cape Town safety and riding convention basics

If you are riding a wave and it is breaking behind you then under colregs you are classed as 'restricted in your ability to manoeuvre' This is due to the fact that you are only able to go in the direction of the wave which is why riders coming out must give way. Mostly it's common sense. If you have...

Re: Do i need a new surfboard??!

How old is the Wam? if its over 3 years old then yes get a new one if newer then its a great board stick with it. The new Pro Whip is a great board for small south coast waves and jumping. Just dont go too small, if over 80kg get the 5'4. The best way to progress will be to get out there more than o...

Re: Officially announced: North becomes Duotone

Think about this. If they had just gone with ion kites and ion windsurfing everyone would of just been like, ah ok they are changing name. Instead Duotone has created over 100 pages of comments on kite and windsurf forums plus all the talk on social media. Marketing genius to get the name out there :D

Re: Looking for a 12 mt wave kite that turns fast, feels light and drifts. Exists?

Give the North mono a try. The 12 turns like most 9s and stays in the air super well. I can ride in cross off in 10 mph and cross on in 12. If you are light the 9m is also a great option giving the power of a lot of 12m kites and turning super good. I can ride in 12mph on the 9m in cross off wind no...

Re: Cape Town - 1st time, pick kites with me

If you want to ride more on the surfboard you will need smaller than 6 at 75kg but if you want to ride tt when its nuking it will be ok. From your kites I would bring 6 evo, 7 and 10 core. The 10 will get you out in the onshore some days before the se kicks in then you will be straight on the 6 with...

Re: ION CS Wave Harness, waiting but not sure now.

Nice one Dan. Just to confirm for everyone. You only need to cut the pad to access the right side of the rope if you need to change it. I have been able to adjust the length no problem accessing the little slider from the top on the left side. The range of movement Is much longer on this harness tha...

Re: ION CS Wave Harness, waiting but not sure now.

Yes no probs getting in and out. Harness needs to be pretty tight but no probs just breathe in and click in.
Hopefully Dan or someone else knows how to get to the knot end of rope?
