Re: Inflatable Hydrofoil boards, are we there yet?

I ended up getting a full Manta stock setup with the big wing. The wing has a lot of lift compared to my F4. My travel setup for surf/kite/kitesurf/kitefoil will be the inflatable board and the F4 wing. Observations: 1) My F4 with straight deep tuttle is compatible with the board. 2) Manta's big win...

Re: Recycle your old TriFin Raceboards

Yes it works. All summer, I have been using an old Aguerra 85 liter race board for prone surfing (long board style since its floaty), and for light wind kiteboarding.

Re: Inflatable Hydrofoil boards, are we there yet?

Thank you Horst,

If you don't mind, what are the dimensions of the surfboard deflated and packed? I'm wondering if it will fit in a regular suitcase?

Regards,
Rey

Re: Inflatable Hydrofoil boards, are we there yet?

I ordered the Manta, which should arrive this or the next week. I will come back with feetback here. My impression is that Manta and Fone are from the same manufacturer, so good to know there can be issues with the exact size of the box which seems to be in both cases a close to GoFoil one, which n...

Re: Inflatable Hydrofoil boards, are we there yet?

Thank you for the feedback @norcom. I still own a 10 foot inflatable paddle board, I know about the noodly feeling even though its pumped real hard. I used to own a 5'4" ULI shortboard I bought used. It is stiff and does not have the noodly feeling when I'm on it. I loved it because when my wife and...

Inflatable Hydrofoil boards, are we there yet?

I am really interested in getting the Manta surf foil board as a travel board, might be a decent compromise to use with a single fin (although fin might be forward a bit) for regular surfing or can be used for hydrofoil surfing/kiting. I don't mind the limitations of inflatable short surf boards as ...

Re: Hybrid wave and foil board

Here is what I came up with this summer. surf.or.kite.setup.png I was able to contact Coleman through regular email, he told me to give him a call when I'm ready. He even suggested that he can build a custom board, copy a favorite fish that I currently own. For now, because of my tight budget, custo...

Re: Light wind board / kite suggestions?

Unfortunately, wind in Alameda is shutting down fast. It has been an unusual season getting 20 mph winds this month. Most of the people you have been seeing riding there this past week (including me) are foilers. What works for me there at the moment is a 8 or 10 meter kite and a F4 surf foil. I bar...

Re: foil attached to twintip

We do it all the time at our spot, me and a couple of fellas. I've always picked a stiff old twintip. Here is an old build from 2017:
