Power wise they were about the same, but the Pivot has more bar pressure and that can easy to mistake for low end grunt. The Pivot feels more "solid" -- like the kite moves as one solid wing. The Flite feels more fluid -- like the wing tips have some flex in them. I think that is where it's turning...
So, never heard of a below the bar swivel failure rate or even one fail for that matter... what type of failure are you expecting might happen?. I guess I'm thinking that when you have metal, steel, plastic, there is a potential for failure, and the more complicated a part is, with bearings, etc, t...
I would be concerned about the failure rate on the below the bar swivels, the nice thing about my OR bar is that there are very few moving parts or unnecessary points of failure. I have not seen a North or Switch up close so this is based on speculation.
Isn't that safety line going to stop the swivel from working properly and/or get so wrapped around the center lines from loops that it won't be able to slide freely?
I have had below the bar a few times I find them harder to depower then above the bar. I have always found above the bar much harder, generally because they are hard to reach.. secondly because they normally have the crappy two way strap system. I have flown the OR under the bar depower for years n...
I have no problems with the bar atall. everything feels good on it and it all works... I like the K,I,S,S way terrie Totally agree, as an engineer, I appreciate the OR keep it simple approach. The below trim bars are great, but I just tried the new trim above and I really like it. SOOOO much better...
Yeah, I'm debating possibly getting a 10m Flite, but the 10m Razor is really my favorite kite. I love the rip off the water,,,,, The 10 Razor is my favorite kite as well. I have been out twice on my 12 Flite now (I still have a 8 and 10 Razor). Today it was 13-21, kind of gusty, with a fairly low l...
I have a 12m Rise in very good condition that I will sell. I hardly use it, more of a Razor man these days. It's a 10 or 11 I believe. Probably been flowin 10-20 times, it's really pretty great condition for it's age. Let me know. Do you need a bar?
My quiver the past few years has been 8 Razor 10 Razor (Razor's have been my quiver for 3 years now) 2010 12m Rise (my current 'light wind' kite) This year I'm going with 8m Razor 10m Razor 12m Flite The Duke! I'm planning on using the Flite for two reasons. 1. Light wind days. For me, I don't need ...
