Re: Do you step off gracefully?

Re: Gong veloce wings

I just don't get it why they won't do the 80 and 90cm versions. Those would be no brainers to sell! For winging and kiting, which are the most relevant atm. I agree that it’s odd that Patrice (Gong’s owner and lead designer) won’t make an intermediate length carbon mast. Even more odd that he doesn...

Re: Gong veloce wings

Which Gong foil line would give the best low end with a wing? I’m thinking that low drag would be key to building enough speed to take off. If so, the thin profile of the Veloce might make it the best. What do you guys think? I think the pro (now called Curve) line would still be the best compromis...

Re: Yikes! Foil board leashes, and Wings

Getting used to a board and wing leash is a minor irritation you quickly get past. I like using a waist style coil leash for the board and a wrist coil leash for the kite, but that’s just personal preference. I’m still amazed at the number of kite foilers clinging to the “winging isn’t worth for thi...

The DUOTONE ECHO wing. 5m https://www.instagram.com/tv/B_paA2liZXt/?igshid=ntroaicj26lq Klaas is also riding a new high aspect 1250 sq cm Fanatic wing foil in that video. Also comes in 1500 and 1750 sizes. He was out with the 1750 and a 6m Echo in some pretty light wind,....but he has super wing fo...

Re: Gong veloce wings

While on the topic of Gong foils; I think the skinny Gong Aluminum masts (65 and 80 cm) work fine for the smaller foil sizes that are in kite foiling range. These Al masts are just too spongy for the larger foil sizes used for winging/SUP foiling. The Gong Carbon mast/fuselage combo’s are nice but p...

Re: Gong veloce wings

Looking forward to trying the Veloce XL and L for winging. Currently using an XL pro for wing foiling. It is very well balanced (great high end and low end, and still easy to carve). Extremely underrated compared to popular brands sold through dealers How would you compare the 1100 moses versus the...

Naish 5.3m S25 wing a ding

$770 and will include shipping in the US. Almost new. About 90 minutes of riding time. Absolutely no flaws. Decided to stick with Duotone boom style wings. Echo’s on order.

Re: gong mast

I have the Gong 65 and 80 cm Al masts that I use with an XL pro for wing foiling. Pretty sure these Gong Al masts are (almost?) the same kite foil masts (3 m6 bolt pattern) used by RRD, Takuma and Naish at one point. For smaller kite foil wings they are fine but for larger SUP/surf/wing foils they a...
