Re: Self landing and launching

Has mentioned it really depends on your spot and how safe it is. In lighter winds bigger kites it is easier to self land and launch. Practice the different techniques in 10_15 knots wind. In stronger winds it is still easy to launch, but a lot harder to self land without good technique *or just rele...

Re: Is it just me or does pumping a foil...

Like pumping a surf board but goofier. Not very stylish but effective (sometimes...). I doubt 10 years on will make pumping any more stylish.
What I foresee are foils that build speed my quick turning, like a skateboard?

Re: Ruben Lenten - My most painful kiteboarding accident (broke my leg)

The release in question. I wouldn't say its super easy to open (super easy to close though), It rides up very easily. I wouldn't mega loop with this.

Re: mad crash on a foil

Jumping with a kitefoil overpowered with a ram kite just looks goofy. Glad he wasn't decapitated.
Only injury I ever had with a foil was while just walking back to the beach...while in the water, hit the mast, lost my footing and my hand hit the back wing...6 stitches...

Re: Ruben Lenten - My most painful kiteboarding accident (broke my leg)

Seems that Ozone intended to urge Ruben to publish this video. Everyone: Shit, bad luck man that sucks. Hang in there, get well soon. Ozone reps: The QR didn't fail, Ruben accidentally released it. See? Not sure If I can blame the reps...in this day and age. I wont cry over his injuries , he...

Re: Ruben Lenten - My most painful kiteboarding accident (broke my leg)

Made a short video of the ozone release>> https://www.facebook.com/wavepunk.okinawa/videos/653591245082416/?t=3 It actually rides up quite a lot without opening, even twisted. I wouldn't say its super easy to open, just about right? In my opinion the release top is a bit bulky, sticking out, so easi...

Re: Hello ! It's Lou

They have a unique flying characteristics and fun tuning but a 10m2 rabbit weights nearly 2x more than a 12m2 EnduroV2...Bar pressure also... Everything is heavy. I still my have my original rabbit in storage, the ultimate modern/retro kite!

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Yes. Having a big bulky front wing doesn't seem to help in the agility. Spitfire seems to achieve very similar lift of larger wings while staying a lot smaller. I have a hard time going back to other wings, they feel more stuck "on rails". Which I guess is good for speed racing/upwind? Like comparin...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

Heres my video. Riding foils for just 6 month now, still no expert. I think it gives a good idea of the spitfire wing's quick turning/carving capabilities at slow speeds. Great image training when no waves to surf. Im using XLW spitfire wing, strapless, 70cm mast. 9m2 kite in 10 to 15 knots very gus...
