Re: Is Flexifoil out of the business ?

I remember seeing Flexifoil at Portsmouth International Kite Festival.
Flexifoil would arrive in their coach and setup a wall of TV screens showing this video.
My first ever power kite being a Flexifoil Super 10 which I bought at Bristol International Kite festival.

Re: Kiting alone

The tide at one of the beaches where I kitesurf (See image) goes so far out at low tide, it’s really not safe to be on your own. There have been times when I have arrived at the beach to find no other kitesurfer's either setting up or out on the water despite the forecasted wind speed and direction ...

Re: Chris Calthrop RIP

I’m really very sorry to hear this sad news.
I met Chris many times at Camber Sands where I learnt to kitesurf with Flexifoil Blades with Chris showing me how to tune bridles.
Chris was passionate about the kites he used and watching him boost big airs was quite a spectacle.

Re: Launching in strong winds

@foil Yes quite. The wind was initially 20mph when I arrived at the beach and just ramped up. My smallest kite is a 9m. A smaller kite may well have been a better option as long it stayed in position on the beach long enough in order to get to the bar to launch. I’m not a fan of higher winds and pre...

Re: Launching in strong winds

I was in a situation where I considered it to be too risky to launch my HL 9m! The wind was 25 to 30mph,even with sand on the upwind wing tip to secure the kite, the bridles with the speed system were flapping so violently I couldn’t guarantee a tangle free safe launch. As confident as I am and "nev...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Thanks for that! No really and it is good to clarify. I like criticism, especially when it is valid. I do drown myself out quite often, I have also been too immature on far too many occasions. I wish I could write more concise but I can only write as I can. I have been making an effort more lately ...

Re: Peter Lynn Nova

In this Nova video you at least see the kite being launched which in my opinion is a key event that needs to be filmed with the launching process being clearly explained. With reference to the video @0.45, the sound that Velcro makes is not the sound of a fresh kite! I guess the presenter just got a...

Re: Peter Lynn Nova

I don't hide the fact I sell PLKB (along with many other brands) and I do so because I think they are good products. I have flown Kitech (+ozone/flysurfer/duotone/HQ ) and I honestly think the Nova is the best value for money. Valve wasn’t the subject being discussed here but looking at the price o...

Re: foil kite catcher

Off the top of my head, if self landing using the brake handle or flagging the kite is not an option. A net supported by a couple of "long" upright poles that you can back stall the kite into. (A football goal for example) © :D You just need the kite to be secured long enough while you do a 25m dash...

Re: Duotone Introduces The Capa - Freeride Foil Kite

@NEKitesurfing - I was of the understanding that LCL’s was a unique feature that only Flysurfer kites provided and have always considered the concept a neat idea that provides the following benefits: 1.Acts as a fuse and will be of a lower breaking strain than the bridle line its connected to and de...
