Re: DIY pulley line replacement

You can make and replaced PB1 & PB2 pulley lines without having to replace the entire speed system. I use Liros DSL 2.4mm 600KG Sleeved dyneema. If you have access to a sewing machine and with practice you can make your own sewn bridle line loops as needed. Those Ronstan pulleys work very well and g...

Re: Ozone Chrono V4 vs Flysurfer Sonic V3

What is the rubbish here talking about sand in the trailing edge? Hi Foil. I think they are referring to sand trapped in the trailing edge seam like in the photo below. I have never had this issue with my 13m Ozone Chrono V3 Ultralight. @foil - I know you have owned several foil kites from both Ozo...

Re: Ozone Chrono V4 vs Flysurfer Sonic V3

Ozone closed cell foil kites are (at least were) famous to collect fine sand to trailing edge, not sure Chrono V4 though if bad design has been upgraded. I've never observed such behavior with my Flysurfer kites. What's different in Flysurfer's design that prevents sand building up in the trailing ...

Re: Ozone Chrono V4

forward orders are being taken, same superlight cloth as the hyperlink v2, one choice only so no long wait for a built to order kite. Hello Foil, Where are you getting this info from please? Have googled but no results! I’m still flying Chrono V1’s and have no plans to change them. I like to get my...

Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

To have to replace pulley bridle lines that are out of tolerance in my view is wasteful. Spoken like someone who has never maxed out their mixer trying to tune around shortened pulley lines... I can't imagine having the mindset of not replacing consumable parts of a foil kite mixer when they...

Re: Help re-tuning a Sonic 2, am I on the correct path? Bridle/mixer

With the large uptake of foil kites I predict there will be some demand for people who know how to tune the bridle system. And probably some bargains to be had when those who can’t be bothered learning sell their problem kites. Flysurfer say their silicone cloth is good for over 1000 hours, that’s ...

Re: Highest performance (race) current model kite that doesn't require special handling?

I have also owned Hyperlinks and Flown Sould but I find them to be nowhere near as good as race kites, Having been flying Chrono V1’s since 2014 then comparing them to a Hyperlink for example the difference in performance becomes immediately apparent. It’s not a criticism but highlights the differe...

That’s a challenging place to launch/land your kite, but it looks like you manage it well :thumb:

Re: Lost Kiteboard - Camber Sands UK

From personal experience boards will usually end up further down the beach (East) at Camber. I lost my board one day and found it about 40 minutes later along way down the beach. A friend also lost his board and despite an extensive search we couldn’t find it. Returned to the car park to find his bo...
