Re: launch/landing foil kites on rough beaches ?

That’s a challenging place to launch/land your kite, but it looks like you manage it well :thumb:

Re: Lost Kiteboard - Camber Sands UK

From personal experience boards will usually end up further down the beach (East) at Camber. I lost my board one day and found it about 40 minutes later along way down the beach. A friend also lost his board and despite an extensive search we couldn’t find it. Returned to the car park to find his bo...

Re: soul pulling to one side

Hi Flag53, thanks for the reply. Looking at the following link: http://shop.flysurfer.com/2x-pulleys.html The product description reads “A shared development by Flysurfer and Sprenger” “High quality and long-living” Ronstan produce a similar looking pulley as detailed in the link. https://www.ronsta...

Re: soul pulling to one side

I had the Pulleys fail on my 12m Soul but only after 18months of use. Has anyone thought about fitting an alternative to the standard pulley . I like the look of the 18mm Harken Carbo air block and even thought about the Ronstan Shock Block but I couldn’t find any reviews on the Ronstan For an item...

Re: What makes a good strapless kite

When I moved from a TT to a Zap ACE Skimboard (54” x 20”) about 3 years ago, "I’ve carried on using the same kites" The board is fully decked out which does away with having to wax it. Despite it having a “nose & tail” it rides perfectly well both ways like a TT, handy if you haven’t learnt the tech...

Re: Bridle Shrinkage

I saw something (IIRC a reference to a kite designer) on this forum that bridle shrinkage is due to the lines being bent, gradually loosening up the braid. Does anyone have a reference to the original source? Seems that shrinkage comes up often on this forum. Hello, take a look at this video as line...

Re: 9m v 10m Soul

What sort of wind speeds do you guys feel comfortable in launching your 9m & 10m Souls?
Do you have an upper limit before you decide that it’s too windy to launch safely?

Re: Ram air first session damage

Agree with that analysis.(@Peter_Frank) This is an unfortunate incident that wouldn’t be covered under this particular manufacturer’s warranty. I have witnessed a tube kite explode on impact when flown into the water where the kitesurfer in my opinion had ample time to steer the kite out of the dive...

Re: Ozone R1V1 characteristics and trimming

I purchased a used R1 V1 (15m) sometime ago and found the speed system was out of alignment due to pulley line shrinkage. They were worn as well so I made and replaced PB1 & PB2 pulley lines on both sides, adjusted KR1 (Z) Checked the main bridles for wear and all was ok. The Ronstan pulleys were in...
