Re: Duotone Pro Fish

We're still loving the Fish in the office and I think it'll be a bit better as a lightwind/beginner board as well. I think the Whip will hold up a bit better as the waves pick up a bit but for where you are I'd go with the Fish. That said, before we added the Fish to the lineup I'd have suggested th...

Re: duotone/north chicken loop on older bar

I'm really not very experienced with the foil bar. As far as I'm aware it's the same material lines as our Trust and Click bars, but with a different line layout featuring a longer depower line to give you more throw/depower as well as different line-length options (19m lines with 5m extensions that...

Re: duotone/north chicken loop on older bar

In general if you get matching loops/dicks they should work... 2019 loop and dick will work on a 2015 bar. As Toby learned there's different length sections for dicks built into the loops depending on year, if that makes sense. No guarantees on this, I don't have older bars around to test but I'm pr...

Re: Duotone lines still poor quality?

Blackened- You're right, our team guys usually use stock lines but it's likely that most of them are now testing new lines, that's probably what you saw Lasse and others using at KOTA. Cor- It's possible that decisions have been made and we are not actively searching now. Also, thanks for understand...

Re: Duotone lines still poor quality?

Deniska- I believe the breaking strength is around 340kg. Again, I would not worry about the breaking strength, as I said I'm a big dude who breaks things and I haven't broken a line since we switched to our current lines. I don't think the complaints here are about breaking strength but rather long...

Re: Duotone lines still poor quality?

Just for a little perspective... I had a rational discussion about this on another thread... I insisted that after testing many different line options from many different vendors we felt that ours were equal to anything else on the market. Purdyd posted photos and claimed that he felt our lines afte...

Re: Duotone Airport Valve II - Questions - Does it turn too far?

Sounds weird, our new valves are pretty solid so I haven't seen many issues with them, but there's no product in this industry that doesn't have occasional warranty issues so it's possible you have a bad one. It's also possible to break the valve inadvertently by twisting too hard. Either way I'd ta...

Re: North 4/5 line set up

Sorry for the difficulty finding this information... As far as I'm aware due to an ongoing lawsuit we are not permitted to officially support 2018 and earlier NKB products online (product manuals, specs, etc) but I'm happy to provide any information I can... nose line lengths for 2012 Dyno... 10m = ...

Re: Duotone Pro Fish

I would lean towards the Fish, but then again I'm pretty enamored with that board right now. In my opinion the Fish will cut a tighter radius turn while the whip will be a little more WAM-like in that it will draw it's turns out a little wider-radiused with the advantage that it will be a little mor...

Re: Duotone Pro Fish

@pgzers... Really hard to recommend sizes... so much depends on your personal style/conditions/expectations of the board and more. That said, I agree with your thoughts... The 5'5" is very voluminous. I'm 90kg and 193cm and the 5'2" feels much better to me, but then again I generally ride in high wi...
