Re: Dynabar V7 news

Definitely interested too, but how much will they be in the uk, and will there be any shops with demos?
Can you fit to a prolimit harness as well (2011 predator waist harness model)?
Cheers

Re: All At 6’s & 7’s (naish Bolt)

Difficult one to call. Whilst you say you will not got out in over 30knots, with the right size kite it's not so scary. I'm 75kg and have a 9, 7, 5m quiver with a few surfboards (no tt's for me) and yes, having 2m gap does mean always having the right size kite. However I do not have a TT to fall ba...

Re: BWS Noise ? why so deep silence ?

As for BWS kites I think they are great, but IMHO to positionate the brand as only for wave experts is not profitable... there are just to few of them. If you listen to any of BW's interviews i think his target market are surfers (of which there many times more than kiters). If the waves are good, ...

Re: North Evo v. Slingshot Rally - these kites only please

Another thing to bear in mind is that the Evo is in it's 4th generation - that's 4 years R&D to iron out all the little problems. The Rally is year one - whilst it may be a great kite i'm sure there will be little things that will come up after having them out for a year that will be sorted in year ...

Ozone bar throw?

I'm thinking of get a 2009 ozone bar, but wanted to know what the throw is on it? I'm used to an RRD bar which has a long throw and is good for fully switching off the power in the waves when bottom turning.

Anyone with a 2009 bar could measure it up for me?

Cheers

Re: Ian Allderedge - has left Naish ?

Not sure where you got the figure $50k from windrider, salary yes but msy well be less than that. Windsurfers like bjorn dunkerbeck and surfers like kelly slater willbe getting a lot more from thier sponsors than free kit and a few airfares. Whilst kiters are way off the scale compared to those spor...

Re: Ian Allderedge - has left Naish ?

Free kit don't pay the mortgage or for food. If you are into the surf side of the sport there aren't enough comps to earn a wage from contest winnings. I'm not blaming naish for maybe wanting to sponsor more young up and coming riders, or for ian or reo to move companies for financial reasons, it's ...

Re: Ian Allderedge - has left Naish ?

Check out his twitter page, looks like he's with Firewire for boards. Kites wise - who knows? Probably not BWS though as they seem to be tied in with Resin8. I did hear from a windsurf mate, that Naish were renound for picking up young talented windsurfers, but would drop them when they got to e est...

Re: Wave kites for follow the kite style riding ?

I use lower aspect delta style kites in waves (9m Evo '10 7m and 5m RRD Obs '10). I usually ride in onshore or cross onshore conditions. Although i don't just "park" the kite i do think it helps to have a kite which is stable/will drift well when you head downwind. These kites don't turn so well on ...
