Re: How to describe the windstrength

An interesting point raised. As you know when arriving at the beach/lake it is common to ask around and observe what kite sizes are flying so as to get a fair idea what kite and board to take out. Personally I always reply with average wind, the lows and gusts. That way the kiter can decide what may...

Re: 17m lightwind Kite + normal TT or 12m Kite + Door?

The Cabrinha Contra 15m and 17m are terrific light wind kites. I am 90kgs. I use these with my 160 Flydoor and I am often the only other one out with foilers. I use standard size lines and settings. On the rare occasion my kite won't fly or does fall from the sky it is because the wind is just too l...

Re: Car keys and salt water

Place you key in a Loksak 3"x 7" and seal. Then place this in an Aquapac waterproof pouch. Been using for 7 years. Replaced as they wear but never had a wet key.

Re: How long should kite lines last?

Some great feedback on kite lines and their durability. My thoughts.....Look after your gear, wash the bar and lines in fresh water after each session, allow to dry in shade, don't leave on the beach in the sun when not in use, keep under the canopy in between sessions, place the bar in its own bag ...

Re: Kite brand shake-up

Agree with Cabdriver. There are lots of cogs in the wheel.

People move around and come and go and kites, boards and bars etc keep improving bit by bit.

Re: Depower on a Cabrinha Contra

BCKiter123 advice is spot on. Check the line lengths. They do stretch over time. There is a good video on the Cabrinha website on lines and adjustments. This may also rectify, to some degree, the harness riding up. You could also try Fireball. You will find the harness does not ride up as far as the...

Re: 2019 Watches

I’ve a few hundred sessions on the Apple Watch Tracking and heart rate work fine . No issues with water ingress . Sessions is a fun app but I tend to use other apps for tracking . In sept I changed for the 4 with cellular for safety’s sake. So far so awesome . Made a few test calls to the wife to s...

Re: Buying used lightwind kite Beginner Help

It is early days in the time you have been kiting and if like me you will explore different kite and board sizes and styles until you reach your own conclusions in what works best. I would go second hand initially then once established buy some new gear and look after it. I would suggest a contra 15...

Re: The All-New AV8 Collection from Cabrinha

Thanks Cab driver. Do you know how the kite is therefore lighter than current models in the Cabrinha range?
