Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

For those who ride REOs, Does a quiver of 7,10,12 makes sense, or 10 and 12 are too close and better do 7 (7 is clear to me) 9 and 12? I'm 105kg and ride Ozone Reo V4 8/10/12 + surfboard Firewire Evo 5'3" (AWESOME board!!) then switch to hydrofoil when 12m is too small. As you can see I have 8/10/1...

Re: Ozone kites 12m low end experience

I would not agree that if you are over 100kg you rarely use 9m and below. It all depends on your style and skill. I am 105kg. My quiver is 10/8/6. Granted, I am only on surfboards but my most used kite is 8m. When it is 20 knots or over I will be on 8m. I would not call 20 knots a very rare wind. B...

I think it's definitely a+ to have the 12m on top o...

Dakine Vega for wave riding?

I am considering transitioning from Ride Engine to Dakine Vega. RE helps a lot for lower back pain, but it still rides up. Any feedback on Dakine Vega (or similar) for strapless wave riding? Thks!

Re: Seat harness for Hydrofoiling. Which are you using and why?

Dakine Vega, light and comfortable. I even use it with my surf for wave sessions. Several foiling friends adopted it lately and are happy with. I am considering going from Ride Engine to Dakine Vega for wave riding. RE helps a lot with lower back pain, but it stills ride up. Any feedback on how the...

Re: Modern wave kite

I'd get a 3 struts, with known great drift and direct attach to the bridles, i.e. no pulleys!! It gives you direct feel, more responsive, faster turning, etc... a must for wave riding imo.
I've been riding Reos for 4y and love them!

Re: Cabarete - Anyone Stayed At....

Yes, Martine did a great job! We were planing to come this August but I broke my leg, so we wont be there befor...

Re: Cabarete - Anyone Stayed At....

I've stayed ar all these places: millenium, agualina, palm Beach condos, ocean dream (not UV). In the end it's a matter of personal preference. The descriptions above are pretty accurate. I have young kids (10 and 4) and we ended up purchasing a condo in Ocean Point, the nicest property on kitebeach...
