Re: surfr android watch

Pixel watch gen1 died in one session (not under wetsuit sleeve).
Managed to warranty it but gave up on the idea after that.
Surfr shouting the jump height on my phone speaker (even through an aquapac) is good enough.

Re: PIQ story ended !

Yes it syncs via Bluetooth but without the app signed in I can't get data off it. Have tried Bluetooth pairing it but that gets me nowhere. I think it's unusable unless some hacks the app 😡 Really sh1t that the company did not remove the app login and leave the app purely as a way to sync the sensor...

Re: PIQ story ended !

Has anyone found a workaround. I'm signed out of app and can't get back in😔 So have a £150 lump of useless, but actually nothing wrong with it, plastic. I'm pretty upset that they didn't leave us with an offline solution before shutting shop. To the board of execs showing on the still up piq website...

ASTM testing - new watersports committee

The American Society of Testing & Materials (ASTM) have created a watersports committee. Seems they are pushing for standardisation on bolts for wakeboard bindings and safety testing tow ropes etc. I guess it would be good to see some standards/tests creep into kiteboarding (maybe safety systems?) a...

Re: New f-one bar ripped apart while riding, what to expect from manufacturer?

Sorry for thread resurrection but was searching ASTM on this forum as they've just created a new watersports committee as described in the post above by Kiterisland (albeit in a different sport.... climbing)... https://www.astm.org/standardization-news/?q=update/water-sports-equipment-standards-unde...

Re: need to upgrade

i think it's the sle/bow/hybrid thing that has me most confused. i've enjoyed the simplicity of 4lines & no bridle to date. So far the tip off's have been; North Evo - simple bridle North Rebel - hybrid 5th line F-One Bandit Eclipse thrusters it seems to be that any new kite will be a lot better for...
