Re: Fone IC6

I don't have any brand affiliation so I don't need to bash nor praise the ic6. But I bought one of these to learn on and it was excellent. Good lift, very stable, strong and well made. Didn't have any issues with it at all, and after learning it was a good foil for progressing on using the 850 mast....

Re: North Rebel 5th line - any issues?

Hello Dan, You mention in your posting that if you get the 5th line wrapped, 'it will slide off to the side'. There must be a technique for making this happen and I think it would be very helpful if you could explain the best way to do this. Is it just a case of pulling in a load of back line until ...

Re: Asia kitesurfing spots?

A word of advice,, I've been to Chumphon a couple of times and in reality the wind is poor. The normal pattern in high season would see about 3 windy days followed by 5 or 6 windless days. Last time I was there (peak season), we sat around for days on end with no wind. I met a pair of Germans who'd ...

Re: Cabrinha IDS vs North 5th line: best safety system?

I know your thread started off with a question between IDS Vs North 5th, but as you are still debating this, I'd be interested to know what views there are of the Slingshot Rally quick-release. Other threads suggest the Rally is a good 4-line wave kite and has a short bridle with no pulleys. The QR ...

Re: north combi bag 2012 or north quiver bag 2012

I have a North 135 combi bag and I'll start by saying that I really like it. Its light and well made and a manageable size. But in my opinion, it isnt a bag that gives lots of protection. Although the material is strong, there little or no padding. If travelling light is your aim, then this bag is a...

Re: North Trust Depower line replacement

I've changed a couple of North depower lines and had the same fun and games but mostly its pretty straightforward. Here's what I found. Firstly, thanks to Surfcanaries for posting the North video. Its worth checking which bar you're going to be working on as I'm pretty certain the video footage is f...

Ozone Reo and Catalyst

Now the Reo is in production, does anyone know what will happen to the Catalyst? Will they continue to make both or will the Catalyst be dropped from the line-up?

Any info on this...? Thanks

Re: First experience with the Ozone Reo

Does anybody know what this means for the future of the Catalyst? Now we have the Reo, will we see the Catalyst dropped from the Ozone line-up or are they planning to keep both in prodution?

Re: North Rebel small size question

I think the rebel is a great kite and have many good things to say about it. However, if i were buying a North kite with the criteria you listed.. ie super easy relaunch, occassional unhooked stuff and some looping, I'd probably be looking at the Evo. Easiest relaunch of any kite I've flown and a bi...
