Re: Finally tacking beyond stoked!

Yes!! Tacking on a fast foil with foil kite in light wind feels so damned good! The smooth parabolic curve upwind, the weightless transition and landing the foot switch, watching water fly by under the board, and leaning back in harness with kite surging forward, it’s magic! Yes, you can foil in lo...

Re: Covid vaccine

Consider two cruise ships, could also be two restaurants or two countries. One has a vaccinated passenger only policy, the other is for everyone. The vaccinated only ship will be filled, so much so that the company operating it may have to put on a second ship. But the ship for everyone, vaccinated ...

Re: Covid vaccine

I guess we won’t be seeing you down under anytime soon Mattel V No. And I feel bad for those in the tourist industry hurt by a requirement for a supposed "vaccine", with no safety data on any treatment even remotely like it in the general population, that is supposed to prevent symptoms and not inf...

Re: Covid vaccine

What about those that have had it in the past and recovered? No vaccine necessary to be a non-spreader? Every country will have its own rules and regulations. I guess it is up to the person travelling as to whether they are confident of getting allowed in, or put on the next plane out. I know in Oz...

Re: Covid vaccine

Vaccine Passports, seems most countries will adopt them to protect their citizens. Personally I think it’s a great idea, as I will have one, but I wonder how those who won’t get one will feel having their movement limited. Why do you think it is a great idea? And why do you think most countries wil...

Re: Imperfections Carbon Mast

I use both alloy and carbon masts. The alloy is used for bigger wings, 1500 sqcm and above with metre wide wingspans, where mast stiffness is super important, it provides a very rigid direct feel to the wing. I use the carbon masts for smaller wings, 1200 sqcm and below where the flex isn’t as notic...

Re: Will Wingfoiling lead people into Kitesurfing?

It’s not unusual now to see the wingding crew pumped up waiting for wind, just like the windsurfers do. Lots of take up of winging in our area, including me, but with the light or no wind season coming quickly in May. I assume some might consider a kite just to get themselves a foil session during w...

Re: Kite foiling set to die almost completely out as wing foiling takes hold

Out swell riding on my wing where I normally kitefoil. Straight downwind, carving across swells, but wings can’t cutback like a Kitefoil can, you have to gybe the wing to go back, then gybe it again to to complete the cutback, very clumsy. On a Kitefoil it is just a flick of the wrist. Maybe a deal...
