Re: simple opinion sought

I fly a 14 and 9 on the same wide setting on the north bar, used to swap but prefer the faster turn on the small kite anyway.

Re: Should boards break under certain pressure?

I don't see how you could make a board or strap / binding break predictably under a certain pressure or force. Maybe a ski binding type system but then you have the issue of only one foot releasing and having all that leverage on one leg.

Re: north trust bar 5th element on rhino 2008?

Would be very surprised if it didn't work with the new bar. Flown 07 rebel on 09 bar, 08 evo on 06 bar no problem. What's wrong with your current bar?

Kelp!

just a quick one on a situation to be aware of: Situation: local beach, wind cross shore, light about 14kts topping out at 16. Big bundles of kelp washed up on the shoreline after a recent storm. Wind died completely, kite dropped and got rolled in a wave so i was trying to sort it out and relaunch ...

Re: lightwind plank - first hand opinions sought

sorry to disappoint but common sense prevailed over idealism and I've shelved plans for the surfboard for the time being. Picked up a Spleene session 141 for a good price so that should give a few extra knots and some nice speed for the flat bits. Still going to borrow a mate's surfboard and see how...

Re: Kiters jump over Worthing Pier

As far as i see it your general attitudes here are just upholding the reputation that kiting is for men going through a mid life crisis that just want to cruse a...

Re: North lines???

to use a non kookproof line, just get a short length of 3 or 4mm dyneema / spectra / vectran and tie an overhand or figure eight knot at each end. Put one end into the larkshead pigtail on the kite and attach your line to the other end also with a larkshead. Job done. You may need to adjust the leng...
