I have Slingshot Alien Air board with slingshot half straps. I just noticed the other day that the screws were loose and tried to tighten but then discovered that the screw holes were stripped. Has anyone else dealt with this -and how do I fix

Re: carbon vs Alu mast

OK - So I have a Slighshot hoverglide with h2 wing. I think I'm going to settle on a 30"mast. What other aluminum setups would be lighter - Im rough on gear and not sure a carbon fiber would last long.

Re: Mast size

My tacks are with touch downs - although I have had a few that were close to being on foil by accident. Also, I only get them consistent riding from fakie to regular stance.

I see that slingshot sells a mast of aluminum and fins of carbon fiber - would that be any good?

Re: Mast size

Hey Simon - yeah it is flat and the water is shallow. I would say it averages about 4 feet deep. I think the 30" would be perfect though I would like to get it in carbon fiber. Seems that most of the carbon fiber masts are 35".

Mast size

I have been getting the hang of this crazy sport. I have about 10 sessions on a Slingshot 24" mast and alien air. Things are going good I have been successful at a few tacks with foot position change. In any case, my question is what is the reason to increase mast length. Today I tried the 35" and a...

Foilboarding Disaster

Hi everyone. I had my kite lines get caught in my foilboard a few times - I think the word "scary" comes to mind. So, 2 things, what do you do when this happens. And what do you do to prevent it? Thanks

Foilboarding Kite Sizes

I bought a Naish Boxer 9m and I see why they work so well for foiling. I would like to buy an even smaller kite and was hoping that someone could give me suggestions on the next appropriate size down. I was thinking 6 or 7 meter. Thanks

Re: Stop this thing

Great tips - that makes a lot of sense. One question if you ride towards the kite won't it drop out of the sky?

Re: Slingshot Alien Air

I went to home depot and made some screws from what I could find in the stainless. They worked well as best as I can tell. The size I settled on was 1/8 by 1.25. The original length was 1" and was to short.
