Re: Any Cquad foiling?

terrible upwind As I know U R a long time all around kiter, I am suprised U feel this way? At the time, long ago, might still be, nothing would go upwind better than a tuned CQUAD on handles in skilled pilot hands. I raced buggys with CQUADS and against with many other types a well, but this well b...

Re: Leading Edge of Kite is Slowly Deflating

Yeah, Check all connections and look for sand on seals. Lock off all struts and double check. If thats all clear then its a pin hole. Pump up and spray le with a soapy water. Find the location of the leak. Then extract the bladder and repeat. PS Tiny pinholes are a pain in the arse..... I've had a p...

Yep, unrelenting power, terrible upwind, fall out of the sky if you slack line them. Can't say i'm a fan. But really the basis if what all inflatables are modelled on. Just replace the carbon spars for inflatable tubes.

Re: Best all round kite quiver for foil & freeride TT

8m enduro is my go to 80% of the time. 10-20 knots on the foil, 23-35 knots on the mutant.
It jumps ok, drifts ok and is ok on the foil.

Re: Kite falling in lulls

Keep the kite moving. Dont park it at the edge of the window. Bar in during the lull, bar out in the gust.

Re: busted gear and egos!! tell me your sad hydrofoil stories

Well, plenty of tomahawk to whiplash crashes. Bashed my foil into the beach maybe 6-10 times, submerged log once, big fish another time, wrapped it up in a fishing bouy another time. Apart from the occasional scratch the foil is going strong!.... And so it should, I made it strong. Its carbon with b...

Re: Covid-19 - Resuming Kiting, In Time

Rules, rules. There has to be rules, otherwise, many more stupid people would injure themselves. The rules are not necessarily aimed at the highly competent. They are aimed at the unconscious incompetent. IE someone who doesn't know that she/he is incompetent. That is the person that will put themse...

Re: 4m range

I agree with 20 to 33 with the possibility of holding to 40 +.
I have done all of the above.

The sweet zone for big waves is somewhere around 24-28 knots. Above that there's too much kite power if you want to riding big waves. TBut if you are simply fangin around you can hold to 40+.

Re: Foil Riding stance, bean pole vs poo stance

I will claim the "crouching tiger" stance as a new internationally recognized stance. Anybody wanting to use this stance will need to seek permission from me and send a "donation" of $1.00 per time you use the crouching tiger stance. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: https://images.fineartamerica.com/images/...
