Re: Foot swolen after intensive 2 week - anyone suffered the same problem?

Re: Kite Surfboard size recommendation

I'd take less volume any day where possible (My current proper kite wind board is 4'11 x 17" x 2") but we will have to beg to differ about a bit of extra volume being useful with kiteboards in light to moderate winds sometimes. I'd rather ride a smaller boards with the extra volume than a bigger out...

Re: Liquid force kiteboarding stops business

You raise a lot of interesting points longwiththecloud. Just from a pure market point of view I think most of us knew that it's unsustainable to have 100 kite brands most of them barely making money and prices that keep increasing every year with no apparent limit. Many people learn to kite when th...

Re: Kite Surfboard size recommendation

Fundamental surfing moves may involve almost stopping eg, a top turn hack , into a tail slide, a bottom turn, stalls to get back to top of wave to set up for next move. These moves still do not involve buoyant force from volume. In order to shift from planning forces to buoyant force, water needs t...

Re: Liquid force kiteboarding stops business

It has been downhill ever since the day the IKA, GKA / World sailing got involved. Was so predictable. Bringing legal action onto competition organisers for using the term " world champion" in a niche sport was always a recipe for disaster. For selfish interests. Kiteboarding always needed the hype ...

Lack of air travel, even being not able to leave your country is going to mean some serious exploring of our own back yard!

Fundamental surfing moves may involve almost stopping eg, a top turn hack , into a tail slide, a bottom turn, stalls to get back to top of wave to set up for next move. Also higher volume boards involve more draggy rails slower. Boards should be totally focused on the conditions of the day. No point...

Re: Kite Surfboard size recommendation

if you like wave riding, you need to be able to sink the tail when riding powered up in good waves. that means less volume. In marginal to medium wind conditions a wider surface area help heaps (just like a twintip) Unfortunately boards that are teh very best at wave riding good waves (pointy nose a...

Re: Naish 2021

engineering wise, one of the first thing you learn as real engineer is that curves spread load instead of focusing it at a sharp corner.. so it makes sense - a nop to the fuel.. :-0 But this is kiting, stick on some carbon effect and some gimmicks... make it look modern aesthetic wise... if it rides...
