Re: Donating blood before a ride - fatigue?

I am sure I have done it but do not remember. I usually feel fine after donating. I know they say no heavy lifting for the rest of the day but that might be just a little over cautious. I would be concerned of bacterial infections if you go too soon after donating and if it is the time of year to wo...

Foiling in Maui

I know a lot of folks foil there but how often so people hit turtles? I'm headed there in a few weeks and wondering if I should bring mine but am concerned about the turtles. All so my set up might be wrong for there. I have a 633 and my smallest kite is a 7m. It does get over powered pretty quickly...

Re: Ride engine new spreader bar system - opinions?

I get your point sort of - but if you distrust plastic you’d best stay at home and never go anywhere. Unrelated to the above, has anyone tried the new Mega Pad? The mega pad is a big improvement. I had take the old pad off because it would dig into my ribs. The mega pad makes it a lot more comforta...

Re: Best time of the year to buy used kite gear?

EDT yeah new used gear used to be the best way to go. We used to get up to 40% off on last years stock but now with the supply chain problems you are doing good to get 20% off. Still better than full price. Prices are high across the board on everything even used gear.

Re: Orbit problem

That vid does not prove anything. One the wind is light enough you are not getting yanked forward and you can see that before the kite flutters it is actually starting to stall. Secondly your a single post user most likely trolling on here.

Re: Replacements for my Dices

I have a quiver of 7,9,12 Reach and 9m Orbit. I am waiting on new 10m Reach for a little more range. The Orbits are not that hard to jump and I have looped 10m with no problems. They are not as high of a jumping kite as the XR is but it is faster and better at looping. I am lighter than you but we d...

Re: Texas kiting and windsurfing

Check kiteboarding.com they have all the Corpus spots. SPI is not as good unless you want to the surf now. The north flats are closed basically to most people. There is another spot further north but you need a 4x4 to get in to it. The south flats has a horrible wind shadow. Houston has some spots a...

Re: wainman 3.1 9m (2016) any opinions?

I would love one as well if I could find a new never used one that is. One of the best wave kites ever made. The drift was amazing on them. Not everyone wants a pure jumping kite and yes kites are better now than from 10 years ago. I learned on Rabbits they were great. I prefer faster lower aspect k...
