Re: f-one mitu size

Thanks for the tip. In hadn't considered the Signature, so I'll wait a few months until the new mitu is out, then check them out.

f-one mitu size

I am 178cm/72kg, and I have the first 5'10" f-one mitu model. I also have a 5'1" slice convertible, and I'm exploring the differences. The slice is incredibly responsive and fun, and also a bit skittish when it picks up speed, and I like that I can also learn foil with it. The old mitu feels a bit l...

Re: Fone convertible drag?

Do you mean water starts? Or touchdowns? It was a comment I heard from a shop, that the round rails on the convertible boards are more difficult to take off from water to foil. I'm a bit surprised, the shops I have spoken with so far basically say they don't like the convertible boards, that they a...

Re: Fone convertible drag?

Yes @norcom, I've heard good things about the slingshot converter also... Do you sense that the size and rails of the board make the lift onto the foil more difficult?

Re: Fone convertible drag?

Thanks for your input, this is the shape of the board and foil box that I'm considering. I'm not sure if this is the kind of box that drags more than less.

Fone convertible drag?

I'm looking into a foil board, and I'm drawn towards a convertible board, so that I don't just add more gear. I have used f-one for many years, and I like the quality. Does anyone have experience with the f-one Mitu or Slice convertible? -Does the box create drag in the water when surfing without th...

Le Morne Mauritius or Cape Town in November?

I'm going on a 2 week kitesurfing holiday in November, and the question is Le Morne Mauritius or Cape Town?

I am travelling alone, so I want to be able to connect with people also.

Thanks for opinions and experience!

Ocean Rodeo, interesting. Well, a lot is possible, I am not fixed on the two. I wish I could test them, and others, because reviews is one thing, but personal feel is everything...

Cabrinha Contra or Naish Fly?

I recently had a Naish Fly from 2013. I am 74kg and I used it a lightwind kite next to my F-One Bandit 8 & 10. I felt the Fly from 2013 was a bit too overpowering when the wind would pick up or be gusty, so I wasn't so happy with it. But I want a new lightwind kite - and I have heard good words abou...
