Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Any more water sessions with your 11? Alas my 11 sang its swan song. Idiot user not a kite fault. It pulled me into some epic waves in conditions that would otherwise defy kitesurf. It will always have a special place in my memory. I expect most hydrofoilers would not like it and specifically if lo...

Re: We should be wearing sunglasses throughout the day and especially while kiteboarding! Why aren't we?

I think the cataract ops without stitches suck as there is now data that about 30 or 40% (AFAICR) of eyes leak via the incision which probably result in more severe vitrious body detachments and more danger. Wound leaks are a risk for infection which is a path to a glass eye but not RD. I do about ...

Re: We should be wearing sunglasses throughout the day and especially while kiteboarding! Why aren't we?

We can find a peripheral retinal tear in about 1/30 people with or without cataract surgery. But autopsy studies put it at 1/10 as cadavers are easier to examine. About 1/100 get a detachment in their life. There is an increased incidence around the time of cataract removal, possibly removal of volu...

Re: flysurfer soul long mixer test

If you like it, keep flying it.

Lengthening the Z probably makes the kite more stable.

No harm in trying that as well to see what you like.

Foilholio’s Z extend method of equalizing the breaks is a top tip.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

With the 11 I was quite uncomfortable standing on land at 16 knots even with short lines. And I didn’t have any luck water starting below 9-10 knots. It did act as an excellent buggy engine even in 4-5 and because of that I thought HF should be possible. Maybe with the right technique, and deep enou...

Re: Levitaz Cruizer vs Moses Onda

I had no problems with strapless water starts on the Cruizer and could do it without putting hands on the board if I used a low volume board.

Why give it 5 stars for Upwind then?
He's from Oklahoma. He's doing the best he can. Check out okie-noodling. The first movie was so good, they made a sequel!

Keep up the good work OKkiteboarder.
