Re: Double Line Flagging Kite w/ Single Line Bar?

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I am 99% sure that any single front line flag out bar will safely eject a kite with a bridle that is designed to roll over when ejected on the front two lines.

Re: Very bad experience with Kiteschools so far (advice needed)

Welcome to this fun sport and community, sorry to hear that it's off to a rocky start. As others have said, two sides to every story but you seem pretty reasonable. You should be able to call your credit card company and start a chargeback saying that they have failed to deliver the promised service...

Re: Low Budet Freeide Kite

This is a good deal on a kite that handles gusts very well.

Re: Handicapped Kite Camps

Thanks for sharing Toby. I've donated to Wind Sports 4 Wounded Warriors in the US before. They teach and equip wounded vets to kite at retreats. The last that I talked to them, they were looking for schools to set up chapters throughout the US. Didn't mean to hijack the thread, just tr...

Re: Another Possible Destination: Lake Nitinat

Nitinaht is a really special place. It's an hour off the paved road into a temperate rainforest. It's an hour from cell phone reception and everyone there is camping. A normal day will see 25 knots and no gusts. The past couple of weeks (and this year in general) have had unseasonal weather on Vanco...

Re: Travel Bag that will Accomodate 150 Mako

Best thing that I can suggest is call a store that sells a lot of Makos and a lot of travel bags. A few years ago I ordered a Dakine FX travel bag from Windance in Hood River for my 150. I don't think that bag is made any longer.

Ask the staff to put a 150 in the bag to verify.

Happy travels.

Re: 3 bars from 3 manufacturers ? Or not

However, if I follow you're suggesting we also provide front line pigtails to allow others to use this bar with pigtails on all 4 lines for their kite? If this is the case, I can certainly get you some spare pigtails! We struggle with the best option for the pigtails as by keeping all 4 lines the s...

Re: Kite reviews

There's been some good independent reviews done here in the past year.

Ian in NJ does some good ones.

The Germans have Gleiten TV which rarely is translated to English but they are rarely translatted to English.

Re: Kiting around Seattle in April

Lot's of potential in the area. For April weather and considering that you don't like cold water, you may be chilly in a 4:3 wetsuit. You may want to wear some merino under the suit or put on a cheap windbreaker on the outside to block some of the chill. You could see anything from 7m to 17m conditi...
