Was reading through all the posts. Discussion went off topic a bit by thruster vs quad. I totally get the construction part. Yes, kite specific boards are built stronger. But has anyone found at regular surfboard that ended up an absolutely great shape for kitesurf? Are shapers using the same but sm...
Had a Cabo & TS from Best back when and really liked them. Anyone ridden either of them and the new Eleveight kites and can compare them? Same designer so maybe a refinement or a whole new thing? Same DNA but evolved in a good way. Go try them out. TS would be Eleveight FS, Cabo would be WS. Qualit...
Don't just look online. Call to get a firm offer is often much better. Often they can't publish online what they are willing to sell for when you actually call and negotiate. Call your local shops first too. They might just match or beat what you found online. Just some thoughts.
May I ask, do different fins make such a big difference? Given they are about same size and shape in general. Sure, they can be thicker, thinner, more swept back etc. Just curious, have not played around with it much.
@ongwhitecloud True that. Yes, I think I just have to take any chance I have and try different boards. Demos, friends, whatever. I guess I was hoping that someone owned a Skillit and loved it too, then moved on to something else that they found as good or better. Maybe that would have been valuable ...

If you look what Duotone recommends for the Pro Wham 5' 7" at 23.6l recommended for 50-75kg rider, would m...
Thanks folks. @peppedurso Hmm, maybe the volume is part of the kick back under the front foot. I was suspecting it was more the rail shape and underwater shape of the boards. Or simply a combination of just about everything that goes into a board shape. I was hoping someone was also digging the old ...
I have been pretty dedicated to surfboard strapless riding for the past year but started with surf style about 2 years ago. I've been kiting for 10 years. Gone through a bunch of boards with the intention to find my favorite type of surfboard. Discovered quickly that they are all pretty different. S...
Looks good. Instead of the magnet you could run the oh shit ring around the center lines. I used to do that with my old modified SS bars before I changed them to the new chicken loop. I would not do that. You would have a hard time releasing the cleat and power up again. To pull depower, no problem...
