Woo Worlds Suggestions

First of all, a big thanks to Woo and the sponsors for an amazing event this year. Most kite events are for pros with little to no participation for your average Joe kiter. Woo sent an email out to participants recapping the event and it was awesome to see the participation by so many kiters around ...

Re: Drysuit Recs - Ocean Rodeo vs. Other brands

. I would stay clear of socks , too bulkie and feel wierd inside booties
I HATE ankle seals. The built-in socks are the best part of of drysuit IMO. You just have to buy a pair of low top booties 2 sizes too large to protect the socks.

Snow Winging - Observations from my first time out

It was a fairly windy day at Skyline today, so I pulled out a Duotone 6.5M Slick to give it a go. Wind was 10 gusting to 20 mph and snow was 8” of crusty powder. I got in some great powered reaches. Here are my observations as a total beginner on the Wing, but with over 20 years of kiting. 1. It is ...

Slingshot Ifly

I am new to wingfoiling. I have an efoil, so I have some foiling experience. I have ben kiting for 20 years, but never took the leap to kitefoiling. I have been reading good things about the Ifly from Slingshot. I frequently travel, so an inflatable board makes sense to me. I weigh 85 kg. I am wonde...

Re: Woo missing jumps

Woo doesn’t record jumps where you are in the air for a long time. I think it doesn’t register anything over 14 seconds. I have some large jumps on foil kits that didn’t record because the hang-time was so long. More than 1 Woo on the board is a good idea for missed jumps.

Re: Aruba - a couple questions

I went to Aruba in February. Wind was on the lighter side when I was there. I went to Boca every day and had great sessions on my 15m Foil. Flew 14m North Orbit at the huts a couple times, but when the wind is light, it doesn’t fill in well at the huts, so next time I go I will bring 9, 10, & 12m LE...
