I have the Naish Torch 10 The greatest allround kite in this size I´ve ever tried. Renember to get 24 m lines for the 10 otherweise you wont get the full out of it! I´ve tried the Raven 16 - Great kite with great range and allmost "Flysurer Speed-upwind-abilities". I guess the Raven 18 is grea...

Here are my short written view on the R05 and Raven I tried the Naish Raven and the R05. Here my 120 kgs experiences with the two kites. Raven: - Higher AR - Moderate steeringpower needed (althoug much less than X4) - Feels like a high performance kite R05: - Moderate AR - No steering power needed (...

Raven: - Higher AR - Moderate steeringpower needed (althoug much less than X4) - Feels like a high performance kite R05: - Moderate AR - No steering power needed (felt actually like bridles) - More of an allround ki...

Just came back from testing the Thorn. If you´re a really heavy guy (like me) 100kg+ or so, you should reconcider the Thorn and go for the SOL! The Thorn 132 which I tried was nice and easy to sail. It is what I call a "feel good board", which means that the board is so easy to sail the first tim...

Re: New big kites... HYPE?

Lots of hype out there about "new" lightwind kites that revolutionize the sport. Seems I have heard this before. Ive tried one and while very nice, they are still just a big kite with a better wind range. They are NOT worth the 17 benjamins they ask in my humble view. If you are wealthy and can aff...

I have only tried the Naish Torch in small waves. It does however have some great features for waveriding. U just kill the power when you want to do it by pushing the bar away. Turns very easy. Flies upwind. IMO the caracteristics you want when riding waves - powerfull or non-powerfull... I still pr...

I´ve only tried the Torch but from what I´ve heard about the Fuel the Torch is better for high wind riding. (I´m heavy!) IMO the Torch is the most specialized freestyle kite around whereas I´ve always liked the Fuel for its allround capacity. Either kite you would make you smile on the w...

All I can say is, that if youre a heavier rider I would go for something different than the 19 Fuel. The kite is great for its size but does not perform for heavier riders in light winds!

IMO the SS Fuel 17 from 2003 would be a better choice if youre heavy...

All 3 models come from the same mold. All 3 have the same rocker . All 3 have the same fins. Take a close look at them and you will see all 3 come from the same mold, they just trim more from the tips and rails to make the 3 sizes Same rocker for each board? - When I was windsurfing the major thing...
