Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

Screenshot_20190313-183036_Samsung Internet.jpg FYI: A 70cm carbon mast will be available in May. It'll cut 2.5 pounds off. I'm looking to buy a 70cm mast so contacted my local NP dealer today (Australia) regarding price/availability & they have no info as yet. The 2.5 pound weight saving, is that ...

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

I think the Large wing + small stab is only to be used for kiting in the lightest winds (max 10-12 knots).
However, this combo has amazing lift & agility in small waves for prone/sup.

Re: Who are the foilers?

At my local, from what I have noticed surf & paddle foiling is growing at a faster rate than kite foil.
I kite foiled for about 6 months, then started prone & hardly kite at all anymore.

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

Has anybody tried the Large wing in combination with the small rear stabiliser? That is the only way I have tried my L as I was informed by someone that helped in the design that this was their favorite set up for prone. The M wing is great for bigger waves. For SUP only in small waves, I'd think L...

Re: Hybrid wave and foil board

A mate of mine has the Duotone surf/foil hybrid board & is very happy with it in both disciplines.
I think it's a 5'3 from memory.

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

Finally got out on my NP Glide L foil yesterday. First time riding a true surf wing, first time riding with any form of hooks/straps. Took a while to get it dialed in mostly because of the foot hook placement. I had the foil set almost all the way back and the foot hook in the front most spot but i...

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

So far, I have been very happy with my NP Gide foil - only problem is that I cannot find any foil covers.
Has anyone found some that fit the L & M wings ?

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

I use the Small for light winds and love it. I've also used it for tandem. (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tcTWdT7OZ6g) Great for small waves. I've had it out in larger waves and haven't had a problem other than it makes a noise when it hits 'high speed" on the smooth face. It's only happened a few ...

Re: Neil Pryde Glide Reports/Reviews?

I'm about 73kg & have been kiting & prone surfing the L & M with S stab & stock 65cm mast.
The L has quite a bit more lift & glide but the M is faster & harder to breach.

I think for just kiting in really light wind, the M is all you need + about a 90cm mast.
