Re: Honest advice lol

My feeling is that the evo and rebel fill the exact same spot in the duotone lineup both are all around free ride boosting kites. Now in 2016 or so when the rebel was a tensioned 5 line kite and the evo was one of their first 4 line kites this made sense. You had a 5 line kite for people that still ...

Re: Hi all, what is the maximum windspeed to kite?

Alex Caizergues 57.97 knots board speed in the french mistral wind. They also go fast in Luderitz. Wind speeds get above 60 knots in both places. Normal kiters sit at home when it's too windy.

Re: What do you think about a plywood surfboard?

Plywood works fine but the downside, which has already been stated, is that it's heavy. It all depends on what your objective is. Marine Ply is perfect for making a 'Kite specific Alaia' as shown above the finished weight comes in around 8kgs but you don't feel the weight once you're on the water. ...

Re: Why should we put our hands in the center of the bar? Why different bar sizes?

pros dont put their hands in the middle to make it easier for them to turn the bar but so that the kite doesn't move around as much, watch a pro right before he does a megaloop he'll slip his hand more to the outside to make it easier to turn the kite especially if he's doing a one foot megaloop I d...

Re: Should Toby start a crowdfunding to save KF?

facebook absolutely sucks as an information medium. It's only good for entertainment. If you go onto facebook and want to search for something like for instance, how do you repair a Naish octopus system there's really no good way to look for information. All you can do is make a new post and cross y...

Re: Full face helmet for foiling?

my friend caught the board right across his brow had to get stitches since then he wears a lacrosse helmet, works great for him, I would suggest using that if you are in a cold water area. Visor works good in warm climates but here the water is so cold it steams up the visor. Every accident I have s...

Re: LF thruster foil any good?

the thruster is my favorite foil I think it's fine for both beginners and advanced riders. The only problem is that you have to seat the wing really far back. I don't know which rocket board you are looking at but make sure it has slots (not just holes in the board) so you can position the foil all ...
