I bought the newind 3 parts split board http://www.newind.net/splitboard/ pros: nice ride feeling. cons: it is a big heavy, many screws. mine has also the holes for a hydrofoil in case I need it later. that board, plus 2 kites, bar, harness, neoprene, and small pieces fit perfectly in a 80x44x30 lug...

from your description of vader and vanguard, it seems that vader is an improvement of vanguard, apart from vanguard being better for bigger waves, is that the only reason to have a vanguard over a vader?
