Re: 20m LEI Kites - Its Time

Well, i wrote Ocean Rodeo for placing a preorder of the aluula flite 21m asking them how much they wanted up front in order to show my sincere intent. I am willing to pay 4000$+. This was about a year ago. Their response was "you'll never need anything bygger than a 17". I think there has to be a cr...

Re: Zeeko Notus XLW 21m Review

The last thing i heard last week was that the XLW's are due to be released late this spring. You can subscribe to their newsletter here: www.zeeko-kites.com. Water temperature here in sweden is now 6'C so it's time to brush the dust off the wetsuit and switch from icehockey to kitesurfing. I love th...

Re: Zeeko Notus XLW 21m Review

The volume of the LE is about the same as for the core 19m, the difference is the valve. Whereas the core has the speed valve the Notus still has 'standard' valve for inflation. My guestimate would be that you can add 15-20% of the time it would take you to inflate the core due to the higher resista...

Re: Zeeko Notus XLW 21m Review

Yes, i bought this kite. To my knowledge this was the last one of the 2012/13 model, Nicolas told me the 2014/15 model will be released somewhere early -14. The current model has actually been around for over a year now so it is a bit funny that i am the first one to write a review. If it blows all ...

Zeeko Notus XLW 21m Review

Conditions: Steady 7-10kts gusts to 12, lulls to 5 (estimations, not intentionally into BS but you know how hard these estimations are). Wind meter at the local wind surf club said 10kts average, 5m above sea level, at session start which means 1-2kts more at kite height!? Rider experience: 5years (...

Re: Tests/Reviews of Zeeko notus 21m?

@ PVIT, There is especially one thing that i'm interested in: Jumping Performance :thumb: When you're out there all alone, the beach is packed with people and you have just enough power to jump it is good to give a little entertainment :naughty: as i was able to do with the Core XR2 19m last summer ...

Re: Tests/Reviews of Zeeko notus 21m?

Thanks PVIT for your first impressions. Did you have trouble edging against all that power with the twin tip, suddenly being pulled off edge in the gusts, or trouble going upwind despite good edge grip :?:

Anyways, really look forward to reading your full review :thanx:

Re: Slingshot Arcane kite conversion

Whohoo, got yourself a real beast there!! I guess having access to all those horsepowers makes lightwind kiting not so interesting?

Have a good time in the wake!!

Cheers

Slingshot Arcane kite conversion

Just want to share something i originally did to get myself a raceboard that would fit into my roadster with the roof up. It turned out to be a great light wind race/wave compromise for few bucks: 20110410246.jpg 20110410247.jpg 20110410248.jpg * I have mounted straps: keeps me on the board in chop....
