Re: 6m Torch - How does it fly?

Thanks for the advice guys. I have gone ahead and ordered a 2011 6m Torch so I will try and review it when I manage to fly it! With regards to 8m Torches, I had the 2008 and 2009. My 2008 blew up on first inflation (zipper) and because there were none left, I had it repaired first and then replaced ...

6m Torch - How does it fly?

Am currently riding a 8m and 11m Torch an loving them! My 8m gets me going from 18-20kts (am into unhooked freestyle and weigh 68kg) and whilst I can hold it for ever, it starts loosing the sweet spot for unhooking around 25-27kts. I was therefore looking to get a 6m (2011 as no 2010 available) but ...

Re: Adding an adjustable stopper to JN bar (Prima Donna 3)

OK, here is a second part which is a little more fiddly! Basically, I like riding suicide leash for ease of relaunch but I don't like the big yank that follows a missed pass. Using the stopper as above obviously makes the kite more C like but also pull hard on the suicide leash. So to take advantage...

Adding an adjustable stopper to JN bar (Prima Donna 3)

I recently got some new JN Prima Donna 3 kites (having been riding Torches before). I love them - absolutely amazing kites: 5 line C shape with C performance but with the benefit of "bow like" depower at the bar. My only negative comment and that of several reviews is that the bar (which is of great...

Re: Torch 2009 size question

I'd have to concur with JGTR, the 09 8m Torch is the business - gets me easily going from 20kts (70kg). Gruntier than the 08 but also little less top end. On 09 Torches I'd go 8-11...

Re: Correct Footstrap Setup / Ergonomics to prevent Ankle Injury

Thanks for all the replies and a big ooops that this has been discussed in so much detail recently - thanks gung ho kiter! That thread pretty much covers most of my questions, I don't know how I didn't find it... Re the straps coming loose under a great load, I actually think that my (relatively fai...

Correct Footstrap Setup / Ergonomics to prevent Ankle Injury

I hurt (medium sprain) my ankle last November in Brazil (luckily towards the end of the holiday!) and it recovered fine over the winter break. All was ok until a month ago when another wipeout hurt the same foot again. I know that an injured ankle is always going to be more vulnerable and am doing e...

Re: Replace Torch 10m with Fuel 9m?

Yeah wish I could test the Fuel along with my Torch but that's life... Really surprised you say the Torch is gruntier than the Fuel though I notice my 09 8m Torch is def gruntier than the 08 Torch. I'm going to have to think hard - thanks!

Replace Torch 10m with Fuel 9m?

I currently ride an 8m 2009 Torch and a 10m Torch (2008). Some people say the sizes are too close but I personally find their small overlap perfect. I find the sweet spot of the 10m to be between say roughly 17kts and 22kts and then the 8m starts around say 22kts (I can get much more range out of th...

Re: F-One Fin Bolt

Thanks Tommy, but I am not looking for these exact ones hence I guess I need to find them some specialised online hardware store. The dimensions I need is effectively an M6x30 bolt (ideally button head) with the first say 10mm (by the bolt head) to be 6mm diameter and the next 20mm to the ip to be 5...
