Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

Hello, really nice and compact solution, very ingenious the way you did it with minimal number of parts around a swivel. but can you still release with the bar pushed against the QR, or the ring being pulled sideways ? Since you have invested into development and testing already, are you considerin...

Re: Does a 4 line kite work with any 4 line bar?

Hi, I'm about to replace my 12m kite. So far, whenever I bought a kite, I purchased 'its' bar as well. All of my kites are 4line kites. This time I would rather not buy another bar if the existing ones fit for the new kite. I wonder if the 2019 Cabrinha Switchblade will fly properly with my old Ozo...

Re: Flysurfer Race kite permeability

Just physics: Volume and cell count. For the same size a soul vs vmg will have roughly twice the volume of air inside due to the lower aspect ratio. Meaning more air needed to escape before parts of the kite starts sinking. Foilkites will leak the most air through the seams, so a lower cell count an...

Throw some sand in when testing.
Pretty sure it will fail big time....
Don't think you can fit more into it

Also the design is quite open so sand falls and flushes out easily.

Re: Are Carbon Bars worth the extra price?

Other than reducing weight for plane travel it’s rather cool factor. I imagine if someone starts making carbon pumps with Kevlar core hose for $500 a piece - there’ll be some demand for those too There is more to it than saving weight for traveling. Take the Cabrinha overdrive bar for example, wher...

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

Well admittedly it was not quite a ring, but around 4mm * 20mm Maybe the problem is that it is elongated, but I don't see how this wouldn't be a problem for any 20mm OD ring. You can see on the photo how it is too narrow to be pushed by the elastic and in fact it is really hard to get it out 202005...

Re: Are Carbon Bars worth the extra price?

A reasonable carbon construction kite bar is not under a lot of stress. Stress is what you get when you have a carbon fibre windsurf mast which is under stress from the moment it is rigged until the downhaul is let off. And carbon fibre windsurf masts have been preferred for many years due to their...

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

The auto-release of the ring is a cool feature - i.e. it pops out of the jaws when you activate the release even when the line is not under tension. BUT, this only works if the ring diameter is big enough. I experimented with some smaller rings and some of them seem to get completely stuck - the in...

Re: Infexion Seatbelt Quick Release

4X25mm is more than strong enough. It is just that a heavy rider can bend it out of shape and some riders don't feel confident when that happens. I didn't find a trustworthy source for the 5mm rings, I don't trust chinesium from alibaba for those. Above is the ring of a 110kg racer. IMG-20190924-WA0...
