Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

Whats the difference between UPE and UMHWPE/Dyneema? Search engines are giving no answers on what UPE is supposed to be....

Re: Bad vibes...

We even get turbulent water from tidal currents on water that looks absolutely flat or clouds of tiny (jelly)fish. Sometimes it gets so bad you stop to check if your foil didn't break. Wave turbulence needs time do dissipate, bigger wave take longer. 3 seconds is at least too short to clear the turb...

Re: Ozone EXP - Unintended Possibilities

Is there anything different on the EXP vs Chrono v5, except for the 5fth landing line option and extra inlets without valves?

Re: Duotone: red line slack - is it safe to move the stopper ball

First off: it needs always a little slack otherwise it pulls on the connected front line and causing wear at the split were the front line sits in the metal divider. As the flagout line is usually unloaded it will shrink over time, hence the extra knots to give it some slack again when it becomes to...

Just start like this, 21m sonic4:

Happy to see someone riding a single skin in the same conditions, but haven't seen someone doing that yet.

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

But the power spike will be much higher on a sonic4 or full race kite sending it across the window, although keeping them in the will be the biggest challenge then.

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Can you point me to a racer with a waist harness?

Tried it yesterday because I couldn't find my seat harness after 6 months of winter, but you just can't hold down as much power as with a seat harness and it rides up in the bent over race position.

Re: Ozone EXP - Unintended Possibilities

Someone should design a 5fth line snowkites landing system that pulls the valves open to deflate the wing before crumbling down onto the 5fth line. Then you can have a wing that is both water relaunch able and easy to self land.

Isn't the EXP just the chrono with snowkites options?

Re: Replacing strut bladder

Put the top part of the bladder inside out up to the valve, then you have the most chance it will fill out the void without bursting or getting twisted

Re: Flysurfer Sonic 4

The only measure of low wind performance is comparing your gear and skill level directly to others on the same spot. I have yet to encounter a day where I wasn't the first one out or the last one coming in foiling in marginal conditions on race gear that won't stay at 12h at all and you need all ski...
