Re: Bar for foiling

I couldn't find a smaller hole with a long enough thread so it goes through the entire bar. Going through only one side of the tube will make it significantly weaker in my eyes.

And it's roughly in the same position and diameter as the offset hole on my Max bar V3.

Re: Naish Pivot Pigtail Length

Those are part of the bridle and are tuned in length for each size so you can fly all of them on the same bar setting. Putting shorter lines there will make it backstall, as the standard length already produces the maximum amount of power possible. Going any shorter will stall the wing. The universa...

Re: Bar for foiling

I see the problem of taking the bar inverted after falling.... Has you isolate a central section to avoid water leaks? Inverted? The eye can only rotate 45deg to each side, combined with a 45deg free movement in the eye you get a 90deg to both sides and it's not possible to rotate it upside down. I...

Re: Leading edge bladder compatibility

Similar doesn't mean the same, holes need to be in the exact position so there is no stress on the bladder. You also need to make sure the hole sizes match, otherwise the valves may not fit or sit too loose.

You can't get a bladder made by drTuba or Airtime?

Re: Bar for foiling

Nice!

Got a chance to test my prototype with swiveling eye last week, feels a bit weird initially to not have any friction no matter how hard you crank the bar. It even slides with the bar fully vertical:

Re: Soul v1 10m dropping like a stone after jumps

The biggest diff TO ME, is that LEI rips in no time when "lands" in ie bushes. A foil does not. Infact, my Soul v1 survived things that an LEI would not. However, v2 did not survive the first heavy LE impact. I think v2 is not that sturdy. No foil kite can handle LE first Tomahawking Into the water...

Re: Bad vibes...

We even get turbulent water from tidal currents on water that looks absolutely flat or clouds of tiny (jelly)fish. Sometimes it gets so bad you stop to check if your foil didn't break. Wave turbulence needs time do dissipate, bigger wave take longer. 3 seconds is at least too short to clear the turb...

Re: Ozone EXP - Unintended Possibilities

Is there anything different on the EXP vs Chrono v5, except for the 5fth landing line option and extra inlets without valves?

Re: Duotone: red line slack - is it safe to move the stopper ball

First off: it needs always a little slack otherwise it pulls on the connected front line and causing wear at the split were the front line sits in the metal divider. As the flagout line is usually unloaded it will shrink over time, hence the extra knots to give it some slack again when it becomes to...
