Re: Bar for foiling

Just a little slippery.... How do you avoid It?.... Sanding, or resing with peelply is what i would do. Just sand it with 200-400 until matte. Peelply is also possible, but doesnt add a lot more grip and feels course. You also have shrink wrap rubber grip. Apply some thin double sides tape before s...

Re: Bar for foiling

Maybe it needs indeed something around it to rest your fingers against. Will see how it feels on the water.

Re: Bar for foiling

I was referring to the rotating center design. I produce off-center bars myself, and all my friends are at first shocked by the convenience of the off-center. The specific design can be seen on Facebook. The video is still with the first version of the off-center, and after some tests, a second ver...

Re: Bar for foiling

Why not? Off center hole proves to be better when holding the bar with one hand in the center as the rope doesn't touch your knuckles as much as when the hole is in the center of the bar.

Very Nice, I would personally try to mount a rotating/swiffel eye?

Re: Effect of shorter lines to kite’s high end wind range

I believe a few years back the top racers were getting better vmg using 13 - 17m line sets. Anybody know if this is still the case? It's in the 12-14m range (measured from the bar) any shorter and the power will become too much on-off, any longer and your tacks/gybes will take too long (plus added ...

Re: Effect of shorter lines to kite’s high end wind range

Gusts come often with a few degrees of change in direction. With shorter lines the kite will have less distance to travel to the new edge of the wind window resulting in a lower and shorter power spike compared to riding longer lines. This can make the difference between being able to hold your edge...

Re: Pansh Kestrel, high performance kite

You are not even allowed to use any other kites other then the approved vmg2, R1v4, Diablo5 or Boom2 in Formula kite events. Only the open class Kitefoil World series does allow any gear including prototype material.

Re: New control bar front lines shorter than back lines

Did you connect it to the end of pigtails? Cabrinha did have unequal length pigtails on some bars, then you would indeed have a bar that looks off when connecting only to the line ends.

Re: I looked into my chicken loop and I found...

Change it when in doubt is always best practice.

Sand can now enter into the loop, accelerating the wear.
