Re: Foil kites on wet beaches

In my experience foil kites would start showing signs of age at 100 hours. LEI kites are still going strong at over 200 hours. Funny I have Psycho 3's from 2006 - going strong - the odd replaced bridle - but not much else - my 2009 Fuel with much less hours on it is held together with spinnaker tap...

Re: Relaunching Edge in really low wind

You want additional suggestion to mod your current kite, so here you are. TE bridle to gain more backstall to reverse kite into sky from the middle of powerzone like FS Boosts in larger sizes (15 & 18). Channels between canopy and LE bladder to allow water on top of bladder to leak away. Usually wat...

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Yes for Sports Tracker software with watch you just control the app in phone. That's why I like Woo screen more because if it could be used without phone, like at water I would. On snowkiting this is a bit different.

Got it, thanks. That is a monstrous app! Doesn't look like it is suited for water very well though.
One friend used that for snowkite speed records. It gave so suspicious results that I investigated why and found the irregular time stamps.

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Can you post a Play store link to it? Searching for "Sports Tracker" in Play store comes back with a bunch of very similar looking apps with nearly identical names, not sure which one you refer to. Thanks! "Sports Tracker Running Cycling" I hope this URL works, as it does not look "sane" URL. https...

BTW, which SportsTracker app do you refer to? Can you give me a Play store link to it?
"Sports Tracker", maybe the very first gps-based mobile phone sport tracking app.

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Actually Android GPS API returns timestamp in nanoseconds for every position reported - more than enough accuracy. It is probably Sportstracker's problem that it doesn't save it in GPX-file properly. I think speed reported by GPS API is somehow already adjusted based on the current position's accur...

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

Maybe distance/time calculation of speed is too CPU dependant for the used purpose, I mean taking battery too much for the benefit and preventing CPU to sleep more or make CPU run at higher frequency? GPS speed could be doppler-speeds too if API returns that. Usually just if you have the track you u...

Great news that the app is working on Sony Smartwatch 3! But is it waterproof enough for kiting? Or do you have to have it in a bag or something?
Well I've used sw3 for 4 years on my wrist starting with Xensr, once even usb port uncovered. But Baltic sea is not that salty.
