Re: Wainman Boss vs Slingshot Rally

I should clarify - my early impressions on the Rally was that the bar pressure was a "little light" as I was previously riding North Evo's. I am now dialed on the Rally and think the bar pressure is PERFECT.

The range is exceptional (from low end to high end range) :thumb:

Re: Wainman Boss vs Slingshot Rally

Like others have said ... both are good kites. The Rally is definitely not a kite that will "punish" you as you referenced in your post. I've progressed more this year than the previous three years riding. Relaunch is too good that it's dangerous (from a self-landing perspective). Jumps, upwing abil...

Re: 2011 Pads/Straps which is the Best

I also found last year's pads better than the '11s. They were perfect.[/quote] Ocean Rodeo changed their pads/straps in 2011? I could be wrong, but I think they're the same. Just got my 2011 mako and the pads/straps are nearly identical to what came on my 2010. Either way, the 2010 AND 2011 are not,...

Re: Slingshot RPM 2011

Of the three 2011 compstick bars that I have, one is 20x23 meter lines and another is 23x27 meter lines. Previous posts indicated that the maximum line lengths for the 2011 bar is 25m. Just sharing in light of the recent posts ...

Re: 2011 Pads/Straps which is the Best

I'm riding the Cabrinha Syncs 2011. They're great, especially the strap/sleave/binding, but the foot pad itself could use more cusion in my opinion. The Ocean Rodeo Bliss pads have been the best for me, to date.

Re: Looking for a 2010 Crazy Fly Raptor Pro 132 Review

I have the 2011 Crazy Fly Raptor 137x41. There should be a lot of similarities ... so I will try to give you some helpful feedback. Construction: Very Impressive! On the same level as my previous Underground FLX. "POP": The center of the board is stiff, but the tips are extremely thin and very flexi...

Re: surfy feel on a twin tip

I have the 150 and the King. Both great boards and unlike any other board I have ridden. Since the delam "issue" has been mentioned here, let me say this ... I had experience with a delam - and it was within the first few days of riding - and Ocean Rodeo's customer service took care of the issue rig...

Re: Slingshot Rally Kite Faults

I agree with much of Robertoville's post (above). I am extremely stoked on my Rallys and as I just switched to Slingshot this year, I have no reservation about buying Slingshot kites. Nonetheless, I'm not convinced Dacron is the solution. Even if the pig-tails are rigged correctly - as shown in prev...

Re: 2011 Vegas vs RPM

I've rode the 2011 Vegas and 2010 RPM ... back to back. Both are great kites. In 2011, North really stepped up on the durability addressing stictching issues in the struts (2009 issues). Both kites are at the top in the durability department. I found that the Vegas turned quicker and looped tighter....

Re: Backroll - looping the kite by mistake

Hey Adam, I think you're hand placement on the bar is likely the reason for the unintended kite loop. Unlike a backroll kiteloop where my back hand drops to the end of the bar, I keep both hands on the center of the bar for any type of rotation (back or front roll) without a kite loop. Even if I dro...
