Re: What type of skis for kiting?

On frozen lakes with no snow on them, I would recommend a pair of race skis. Old style downhill skis without any cutout, straight edges, work fine, but they are getting ever harder to find. I have a pair of Volkl Race Cats that work great in most conditions. You can get a pretty good deal on race sk...

Re: DIY 3D printed foil

I'm working on my first 3d printed stabilizer. My machine isn't big enough to do a full wing, and I'm even printing the stab in 6 parts. Just finished printing up the first section this morning. It seemed to take about 50% longer than the software predicted. PLA and its going to be covered in carbon...

Re: How to go faster? Technique or equipment?

Not an answer - but also curious how the kite plays a role. Obviously the wing shape has a limiting factor in design, but as i have been internally debating tube vs foil kite for exactly this same scenario (light wind speed runs/touring) I am very curious if the design of the 10m Soul would be sign...

Re: What the Farmers muck?

The World Health Organization has said that wearing a mask does not good, and some authorities say they may increase the risk of infection. Other authorities say to wear a mask. We Americans are an unruly (literally) bunch, who like to make up our own minds. When we see different authorities telling...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

Oh come on now, thats now how its done you have to question it with such sarcasm, derision and intentionally inflammatory language that you elicit the emotional response your fishing for. Then pronounce them indoctrinated. When have I used inflammatory language? What I meant is that you present a f...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

How do you know if you are indoctrinated or not? Are you indoctrinated to think that you are not? Seems unsolvable to me. Watch the reaction of the people who believe the doctrine when you question it. If they automatically attack your character or that of the people who present countering evidence...

I just noticed that this morning. It seems to be an artifact created by Cyberlink Powerdirector. Its not in the raw video or what was exported by the GoPro Max.

There is a stitching problem in the video
I think you messed it up while resizing the video (720p).
Anyhow very promising, no arms, or mounts in the frame, very clean
I just noticed that this morning. That was after editing with Cyberlink Powerdirector.

Re: GoPro line mounts

I got to try it for the first time, and I am very happy with it. I had an uneventful session with no kite crashes or massive jumps, so it wasn't a full test, but I am satisfied so far.
