Re: Kiting prognosis after heart attack

I’m going to give you some solace. Will keep a long story short. In 2017 out of the blue I was taken to the Emergency room by my wife because I had some shoulder pain. Had it for several days. Her cat sense told her something was wrong. I felt fine. I arrived and they hooked me up to an EKG and told...

Re: position strapless board with just legs - no hands.

I made a single strap out of webbing. Love my Shinn set up but it is HEAVY and does not float on its side.
Makes it easy to position board for waterstart and it’s soft so once up stepping on it isn’t a problem.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Has anyone tried the new Peaks on the original Peak bar? Probably the lightest most simple bar ever made No adjustable trim straps- depower controlled only by bar throw. It worked pisser on the Peak 1 and when let out kite would totally depower.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

In reading your comments are you saying on the 5 you "are easily able to ride under 10 knots"? OR are you referring to the 8 or 13?

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

New twist on the Peak4 questions. I've had a burning desire to take my Peak1 6m on the water to see how it performs with a foil. Well used in the winter on snow/ice. Opportunity presented itself today. Amazed how it performed. 18-24 knots, 83kg rider and 1200 wing. Other kites were 12, 14, and 15. W...

Re: Flysurfer Peak4 in 5 m2, truly stoked

So many pages in the Peak threads but I don’t remember seeing this question being asked or being mentioned. Please correct me if it has! “LIFT” on the Peaks. NOT jumping but lift during a transistion and foot change. I fly Speeds and they obviously have a nice lift when you’re doing a flying foot ch...

Peak4 vs Shaman2

Very interested in any first hand comparisons between the new Peak 11 vs the Shaman 12. Interested in low end power comparison, flying characteristics, bar and overall flying impressions. These kites are not easily available where I live so I'm relying on others experiences to form my decision. Prim...

Re: beginner foil

I’ll chime in on the Shinn Jackson and P foil. I made a couple of 100 yard runs within the first hour- way longer now. Others who foil where I am were a bit shocked. I have 8 days under my belt and am totally hooked which is no surprise I’m sure. I highly recommend as a beginner foil. Shinns new win...

Re: Question about sanding Hydrofoil for less whistling

Had the same issue with my Shinn P foil. This was their recommendation and it worked for me.
