Re: OneEye

Mauritiius offers miles of flatwater riding all around the island, if you are not an expert wave rider, Mauritiius remains a world-class flatwater paradise.

Re: Travel Question...Union Island

Union is def worth the trip. Also, the catamaran charter is also a great idea. However, be certain your catarmaran charter is booked out of union. NOT St. Lucia. The St. Lucia charters have to sail south for 12 solid hours to get to union. That is partly overnight and the until after lunch the follo...

Re: Mauritius advice please...

Was in Mauritius in August. Many flatwater spots along the south and east coast of the island. Public beaches are nicely maintained, have passable facilities usually, and are great places to launch. I had a policeman assist me at one spot. Riambel is a launch for a nice downwinder to lemorne. Pointe...

Re: Kite Advice: Best TS vs Switch Nitro

I just dumped my Nitro quiver of 10, 12, 14, 16, and 18 Helium2 for Roca 11, 14, 17m. I was able to ride back to back my 18m Helium2 vs the 17 Roca and then my 14 Nitro5 vs the Roca 14. The Rocas showed noticeably better grunt and hangtime. Hangtime with the Roca's vs the Nitro's is something to exp...

Re: Dream Kite vacations

Hey, I got two out of three. Mauritius and Aitutaki. Both are a dream. Mauritius is a larger Island with many many public beaches that can be launches. Lots of fun to explore and ride away from the busy LeMorne area. That said, LeMorne is not to be missed. 100 kites and 100 windsurfers and there is ...

Re: Time for Some New Equipment - Looking for Some Input

Switch Nitro. Bombproof. Super boosty. Half the price because their sales model cuts out the middleman. Bar is an exact replica of North.
Surpised no one has given them a mention as yet....

Re: Damien LeRoy Injured in Paraglider Crash

Damo did what he thought was best at the critical moment. He's alive, no ground injuries occurred. All good outcomes. However, short of a fire on board, bailing remains the worst option. Paramotor pilots know that job 1 is to aviate. I.e., fly the wing. The throttle and brakes can go through the pro...

Re: Moses Hydrofoil - the latest news

Thanks for your help. I weigh 215lbs. How much is that a consideration for the foilboard? Will the t40 offer enough floatation?

Re: Moses Hydrofoil - the latest news

Is the Fluente a progression of the Silente or a different model altogether? Which would be best for a 7 years kiter but beginner foiler?
