Re: Best country to be a refugee in claim welfare and kitesurf all day forever

This has me thinking. Understanding it all comes down to location, location, location. What can a single person live on $ wise in various kiting locations? Fantasizing living a simple kiting life

refurbishing control bar handle

There may be a discussion on this somewhere but I haven't found it. What is the best tape/material to refurbish a control bar grip? Thanks!

Re: Harness with Sliding spreader bar

I've been using a J-Bar for a couple years now. I'm upgrading harness and see there are many options for a sliding spreader bar. Any feedback/recommendations as to which bars are working best? Primarily directional and foil these days. Thanks!

Re: Switch Lineup

Update: New bladders arrived in just three days. Included was awhole set. Only needed a new strut bladder. A+ in support. To WindJunkie's point it took me just 15-20 min to swap the strut bladder but........ugh! getting the valve to re-seat in the strut was/is a major PITA! I'll ask the warranty dep...

Re: Switch Lineup

Follow up on the faulty bladder/valve issue. Switch sent me a tracking # and the new bladders are on their way. That is a record in my book for resolving a manufacturing problem. Pumped up two of the remaining there new kites and no issue with those.

Re: Switch Lineup

Got a response from the warranty department. They're sending a new set of bladders without any dinking back and forth. I have 3 other new Switch kites in the quiver that I have yet to inflate. Will test them soon. I appreciate the quick and easy resolution of the problem. Though the "issue" gives me...

Re: Switch Lineup

Inflated kite today at home. Isolated leak to a strut valve area with soapy water. It's not a small leak and the strut lost pressure quickly. Emailing Switchkites was not easy as the website link to email didn't function. Found an email address under the warranty tab. Will see what they respond with...

Re: Switch Lineup

Interesting! I pumped up my 16m H3 for the second time today. It lost air quickly! I hadn't crashed it last session and raved here on another thread what a wonderful session it had been. I boat launch so didn't have the opportunity to problem solve. More to come.....
