So what would be a good surf board for light wind days?
Something like the largest version of Naish Skater. Its still light but has more width over the nose and tail. Most people these days go for foils if the application is lightwind.

Re: Advice on a surfboard for kiting

5'3'' is very small for lightwind at your weight. Doesn't matter tho, just don't expect it to be a super light wind board. What construction is it? Also just posting a pic doesn't give quite enough info. So far we have 5'3'' and 19l (very low), and we can see the shape, which seems more of a fast co...

Re: The Next La Ventana - Uruguay

Hello, This seems the ideal time for a first post, as I've been living in Uruguay for the past 3 years and started kiting here 2 years ago. Technically speaking, the majority of the Uruguayan coast line is excellent for kiting. Especially from Montevideo heading East. Near MVD itself people tend to...

Re: The Next La Ventana - Uruguay

I think the current La Ventana is a pretty good La Ventana.

Re: Whats this Naish board?

What are the specs on the board? Sky pirate was usually pretty big.
I think this might be the predecessor to the global. Naish On Shore or something like that. I had the side shore. I ground the fins to pieces, the board just wouldn't die.

Re: Cloud Kites A Caution

Plummet this isn't rage at all. Its people not recognizing their experience reacting. That should be fine.

In any case of one complain it should be warranted and in this case...not sure sure if we're there. The community around BRM is great. Ig might might make more sense to go that path first.

Re: New Naish Dash

hello, the problem is not in the speed of the kite, but in the control. This Sunday comes again very strong wind, I will try to change the trimaje, and I will also try the Pivot 6 meters, have at least climb higher with the kiteloops. sorry if it's badly translated, I do not know how to write Engli...

Re: Cloud Kites A Caution

Hmm, I am not one to get personal, but OP's post seems speculative and not actual. It could be a language thing tho so no problem for me. I do not even know there is an actual issue since the post say it might blow...having had these for a long time..I have never heard of this before. Like has been ...

Re: Naish Slash 2018 vs Naish Slash 2019

Thanks for that taut, looks like I can't go wrong either way 😀 Usually I ride waves with onshore winds which requires some input to the kite to make it drift enough; sending it to 1 o clock before doing a top turn and back to 3 in the bottom turn. Not sure if any kite would drift well enough to jus...

Re: Naish Slash 2018 vs Naish Slash 2019

I've been studying this thread because I'm considering the switch from Pivot to Slash. Good to see all this info here! Been on the 2015 pivot for three years now (5, 7 and 9m) Over the years I've found it's better for me to stay dialed into my gear as long as I can instead of changing kites every s...
