Re: marc jacobs kota - pushed harder than anyone

Was marks trick impressive? yes. Did it get high scores. I guess not. Why? It didn't meet the main judging criteria which is height. It lacked height compared to the others. Its no RB's fault that Mark chose to showcase a lower level technical trick in a boosting comp. The rules are clear and well ...

Re: marc jacobs kota - pushed harder than anyone

No limits. :thumb: :thumb: I mean in the video to me it doesn't look even close to as impressive as the riders that were inthe final. I dunno too much about new tricks or not, but the scoring criteria are clear in KOTA. You get paid for height. It also looks like he has shorter lines than the kiter...

Still, the kite needs skilled rider to get most of it.
Agree 100%. I messed up on this kite and paid. I think the slash in the same condition would have been much easier on me. Dash pulls harder in loops.

Btw the dash is great for onshore wave riding too.

Re: Naish Dash 1st vs 2nd release?

Based on extensive experience on Dash 8m's both versions back to back, I find they fly quite differently. 2017/1st version: crispier feel, quick around the loop with little pull, boosting machine when powered up, overall one of the best kites I've ever owned. 2018/2nd version: less low end but bett...

Re: Kite for waveriding

I love the pivot 11 for wave riding. It depends a bit on what you what type of waves and condition you ride. So in more light side shore wind, the 11 Naish Slash works really well for drifting, but in more onshore condition where you move the kite more, the Naish Pivot works a bit better. Both are s...

Re: Naish Pivot 2017 vs 2019

Absolutely. Was the quad tex on the 2017? If not, I think its worth it for that alone, but on the new models, the LE is much skinnier. The kites feel faster and tighter. My experience is better boost, but the 2017 was already refined. I do think they have made the kite a bit more aggressive the past...

Put it on an old raceboard. Some of them already have a tuttle box installed.
You should be able to get one pretty much for free...

Re: Jesse Richman leaving Naish

Obviously its a bit sad for me whos a naish fan to see Jessie go to the-color-company, but he is still one of my favorite riders and all time positive force. I can still remember watching him ride in a competition...he was about 3 feet tall and absolutely crushed it. ughh...I realized he is going to...
